Morning brahs, 2 questions -
1. I have a bit of a problem with in-growing hairs, particularly with my neck, I currently use the brush and bowl foam thingy, was wondering if changing to straight razor would help this.
2. It's my birthday soon, thinking of getting a straight razor, any recommendations?
Thanks for the advice.1k+

I want to start traditional wet shaving. I've basically got the basics...looking for recommendations on blades, cream mainly.
I'm thinking on razors it'll be either a EJ or Merkur to start with (if anyone has another suggestion in the less than $50 price range let me know) and then naturally going to try and grab a badger brush, but brand recommendations are welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Alot of people get the Merkur 34c (new) or an old Gillette one off ebay, I can't remember the name of it though
You might want to get a sample pack of razors to see which razors work with your face as they work differently on people
I use a prorasso soap that was offer, others might be able to help more on that but if you use a cup or bowl from the kitchen you'l be able to make a better lather
hope that helps a little bit

as mentioned above, the merkur 34c, or HD is a good starter razor. nice and heavy
and the tweezerman badger brush is a really good cheap badger hair starter brush
