What makes you think it's nature? sexuality is natural, but masturbation is more cultural. i'm not saying it's unnatural, it's just not as deeply imprinted into us as sex. masturbation is more learned than anything, as far as I'm aware. it also doesn't give you the same benefits at all.
also, concerning the girls you met, rejecting masturbation on principle and simply not doing it are two different things.
lmao, so many miscers accusing him of having low test because he doesn't jack off. even though he has sex on the regular(i.e. healthy libido/sexual function)...
funny thread, a little ironic considering how many miscers have now stopped masturbating. i give it five stars, will read to grand-children
who's the arbiter on your bet and what's at stake? lol

once men figured out that ****ing goats and chickens wasn't the best thing to do masturbation became a better alternative
http://www.webmd.com/sex-relationshi...urbation-guide
In general, the medical community considers masturbation to be a natural and harmless expression of sexuality for both men and women. It does not cause any physical injury or harm to the body, and can be performed in moderation throughout a person's lifetime as a part of normal sexual behavior. Some cultures and religions oppose the use of masturbation or even label it as sinful. This can lead to guilt or shame about the behavior.
Some experts suggest that masturbation can actually improve sexual health and relationships. By exploring your own body through masturbation, you can determine what is erotically pleasing to you and can share this with your partner. Some partners use mutual masturbation to discover techniques for a more satisfying sexual relationship and to add to their mutual intimacy.who says love has to be soft and gentle ?

disregarding the part about the goats and chicken, masturbation isn't natural like sex, it's not imprinted so deeply into us. some african tribes don't masturbate, without demonising it. masturbation isn't helpful, though. sex has positive effects on us, masturbation does not. or does it? as far as I am aware, masturbation is nothing but a habit. just because WebMD says so, doesn't mean masturbation is healthier than abstinence from it. making you feel good/better for a few minutes is not a health benefit. sex has longer lasting and stronger benefits for your mental health
to reiterate: your habit of masturbating isn't really bad for you, but it's not 'nature' and we're not '****ing with it' by abstaining from masturbating. it's simply a useless dopamine rush at best

I am sure that would make you feel better about yourself but no, I read it, understood it, and classified it as full of $hit. If you are a porn addict then you have a problem, but normal fapping is exactly that, normal. As for mental clarity and fapping, I guess it's like walking and chewing gum, some of us can do both at the same time. I guess others can't and have to pick one.

It's not the masturbation that's the problem. It's the porn.
Why am I in this thread?"The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary." - James Nicoll

Some african tribes don't make an average statistic and have you ever walked in their mud huts in the night when no one's around ?... you know it's not true you go blind if you masturbate
you should know that some babies start to masturbate before they walk of course they don't call it masturbation but it is.
how do they get imprinted ? if anything it's the opposite, society and religious moralism has tried to make masturbation a bad and immoral thing, even more so for girls .
What's imprinted into us since we are very young is exactly the oppositeLast edited by BrotherWolf; 05-07-2012 at 01:41 PM.

well, i don't think these african tribes care much to make a statistic about something they don't have a word for. then again, they also get married young, so... they do let off their steam plenty
i don't share your experience. as a kid, i was never discouraged from masturbation. not from family, teachers, other people in the community. i'd known about it since i was in primary school. i simply don't see how it benefits you, not from personal experience nor from any research. i also don't see how it really harms you either, but in reality, it's nothing great. you shouldn't think of people who don't masturbate as 'unhealthy', though. i claim it has no benefit, and if done in moderation, no real detriments either.
when i say masturbation isn't our 'nature', i don't mean it's unnatural in the sense that we are going against our nature. it's just something we might not do as much if it weren't for our culture. it seems as though you think i'm moralising against masturbation...Last edited by mauledbyabear; 05-07-2012 at 02:31 PM.

I never said I did but it might have some physiological repercussion not in the act itself but in the reasoning behind it

some people do it often some people don't, some do it sooner than others , some people do it too much possibly because they have an addiction to porn and some people don't like porn at all but still masturbate ..who says love has to be soft and gentle ?

I don't understand. i don't want to jump to interpretations, but do you mean by repercussion, cause? and are you referring to a sexual dysfunction in those who don't masturbate? obviously people with significant sexual dysfunctions might not masturbate. elaborate if you will
Again I never said that you are moralizing your abstinence .. it has nothing to do with culture, it is a fact that masturbation is as natural as learning to walk
some people do it often some people don't, some do it sooner than others , some people do it too much possibly because they have an addiction to porn and some people don't like porn at all but still masturbate ..
also, it's not my abstinence, i never said i didn't masturbate. i'm simply saying that masturbation doesn't have a health benefit and not doing it is perfectly normal. it's a small momentary pleasure many seek, that's all it is. better to get laid if you can

So i'm hindering my growing as an individual by not playing with my schlong? Lol
Not once has anyone ITT mentioned this as a reason for not masturbating, yet I have seen it posted multiple times. Who the fukc even thinks that anymore lol. Nobody is trying to impress girls by this either, just the fact that you thought that... cringe man.
Also:
It's now coming to my 4 month mark and my libido and sex drive have not been inhibited the slightest bit from not fapping. On the contrary I have a stronger libido. Come at me bro
Also for women saying something about how pleasurable masturbation is, just remember you are not a man and men orgasms are much faster than women. The pleasure from masturbation is less for men than it is for women, men just want to orgasm more lol (generally)yolo
