I've gone from 3 meals, to 2 meals to now 1 meal in the past couple of weeks... once your body adjusts, rather simple and makes everything much more convenient for me.
The meal is generally spread out over an hour whilst watching TV.
I used to rush making and eating food because I had activities to do after my meals but now I can just relax and eat... feelsgoodman.
Also, so easy to fit things into your macros and vary your meals when you have so many calories to play around with.

1 meal a day? im really curious on what you eat during that meal and how much you eat
also, how do you manage to not become hungry during the rest of the day? Can you fit in your stomach a meal consisting your entire daily calories and macros?
please share every aspect of your 1 meal, i have always thought of it and how it can even be done!

I can't be arsed to find it but I know I've seen Lyle go against one meal a day and I believe it came from a hormonal and protein standpoint.
“Go back?" he thought. "No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!" So up he got, and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter.”

RAther simple really: eating food, in 1 meal. Yes, a total day's worth...its really not as hard as it sounds.
This doesn't mean eating breakfast, lunch and dinner in one meal...unless you have the room for it in your stomach...it's using the larger calorie availability to make virtually any type of food you want.....i want to see someone eat 3000 calories worth of chicken and broccoli..in 1 meal!Last edited by holysmokes700; 04-23-2012 at 09:09 AM.

Yeesh.. one meal would be tough for me.
I mean over the day I eat about 3k calories right now...
It'd be hard to eat all my food in one hour:
1 Cup Oats (raw)
2 Scoops Whey
32g Almond Butter
1/2oz Dark Chocolate
150g Strawberries
1 Banana
1 Apple
300g Sweet Potato
100g Spinach
6oz Salmon
6oz Chicken Breast
100g Carrots
60g Cereal (of choice)
80g Grits (raw)
1tbsp butter
1oz Walnuts
Thats like 4lbs of RAW food at least...
Plus I get hungry during the day. If I was going to reduce my meals.. i'd probably be able to do 2... but not one."When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

I think people are forgetting that after 24hrs of fasting you will be able to eat much more food than what you would then if you had eaten 4-6hrs previously. Also, like I said in the OP, It takes around 1 hr to consume.
I always have 6 whole eggs, Meat source (Steak or Salmon),brocolli, spinach, nuts, apple and a banana as a staple... then I have whatever as long as its around my macros but really my fat can range from 80-120g, carbs 350-450 and protein around 220-250.
Sometimes it will be a huge pasta dish and other times just doughnuts and cookies... really depends on how I'm feeling.
I wouldn't reccommend doing this unless you actually prefer it, and find it much more convenient.

Er yeah I did it towards the end of my cut. Warrior diet is what I thought it was called? There's a thread in the advanced section.. I found it totally awesome haha. My friends and family always WTF'ed at me being sub 9% and eating 2000+cals in one sitting but little do they know...

Depends what you eat.. 900 cals of veggies and lean meat is tougher than ice cream and candy
I could do 4000+ cals easy in a sitting/hour if it was:
1,000 calorie cheese burger
1,000 Calories of fries
Couple pints of Dark Beer (500 cals)
1 Pint of B&J (1100 calories)
Finished off with a big movie-theatre popcorn (1,000+ calories)"When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

i could easily eat my daily allotment of calories in one sitting, well actually over an hour or two. that is usually what i do on fridays or saturdays! Just pigging out with my friends with pizza, ice cream, and a drink or two or six can quickly add up!
but usually during the week i eat three big meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner!just your average unicyclist, juggling, trombone playing weightlifter.......

I'm at 2 meals per day.. One meal about one hour after waking up, one meal about one hour before going to bed. Ends up being almost exactly 12hrs apart every day. Would have to change things up massively if I wanted to do just one meal though. Sounds tricky for some reason.

i eat one meal a day at night. saves time, makes calculating macros easier, and supposedly there are hormonal advantages seen in leangains and the warrior diet. most importantly, i don't feel the need to overeat which happens when i start eating early in the day. food starts my appetite and it is almost impossible to fight.
also i have an interest in eating competitions and i see this as a decent way to train eating a lot. i have no problem getting down my calories in one sitting.

It was in the Protein Book that from a standpoint of protein synthesis and absorbtion it was not a a good idea. There was a study he posted on the main site about how it messed leptin and other things. I'll try to hunt that one down. I was talking about this same thing a couple times last week here.
