Do Not Know Which Calc To Trust

Every calc i use to know what my intake of cals should be to lose 1-2lbs a week says something different..One calc says 1920 (for 2lbs) and around 2000-2240ish for 1lb a week..then i see other calcs telling me 3025 to lose 1lb a week and even others saying a range in 2500s..Simply do not know which to trust

    Stats are
    5' 8
    239lbs or so.
    Age 18

Would appreciat5e to know my deficit amount or just my maintanence so i can subtract the 500-1000cals off it

How about testing it yourself. Weigh yourself tomorrow morning, begin a diet @ 2200 cals or something, and see how much you weigh next sunday. If you dropped 2lbs, well then, your maintenance is 3200 cals/day in this example.

One week wouldn't be near long enough. More like six weeks of consistency to really understand the numbers.... Yes, THAT LONG!
A diet isn't punishment. A diet is a way to reward your body with the wholesome, nutritious food that it needs. Your body composition is a direct reflection of what you put in your mouth.

I agree. 1 week is not long enough to see a measurable change. At least a few weeks of being 100% spot on with counting calories etc.

Ok, yeah, 1 week is not enough if you're barely starting, but just test it out and see. If you lose weight it would probably mean you are under maintenance, if you stay, then just lower it a little.

I pretty much started at ~1300-1500 cals for my cut and expected 2lb/week loss. I was right and I have kept it up for 7 weeks.
