Three years down the drain.
This bitch is going to go off and **** a cop (she's a dispatcher).
I turned it in to the major today. Now both will be terminated and forever banned from such work.
I dumped her, laughed in her face, and now I'm going to smash through all her slut friends (with a condom).

Huh?
It's not "cheating" when you're in a dating relationship.
The purpose of dating is to spend time with a person to see if you want to commit. In the meantime, if you meet a person you like more, then you leave the other person and date them.
Cheating occurs in a committed married relationship, or the equivalent.
The OP is acting like a vindictive *******.

Well put but, most people are ****ing dumb as bricks. I know someone who is on her way to marriage and we were fooling around at the same time she was in a relationship. I had no ****ing clue of it since, she acted the way a single girl would. Any way, not even the slightest bit shocked but, I do imagine he may have felt differently if he was aware.

Bro, it's dating, if it's dating.
Seriously, you're 23 and what if some 16 year old told you his girlfriend of three years "cheated" on him, what would you think, she's a whore?
Most people would chalk that up to the whimsical nature of young dating habits. It's not cheating or being a whore to discover you like someone else.
It's sad though but it's "female" to call things what they aren't. People of my generation and before would say, "She doesn't like me anymore and we broke up," which is the truth.
Girls and *******s make up dramatic bullsh!t to cover their own problems and now heterosexual males are too?
Not good.

This is fairly common and I can think of many people I've know like that.
There's lots of confusion around relationship, versus adventure, versus career, versus family/no family, versus social expectations and those of relatives. All of that stuff happens in your 20s and is nothing new. It tends not to happen to people who get married in their mid 30s who are dated out and have had their adventures.

Not cheating? Yeah if she gives him the heads up before she goes and ****s the guy, what are the chances that happened?
I would be interested to see your reaction if you found out your girlfriend of 3 years was banging other dudes on the side while you were under the assumption you were exclusively seeing each other (which is pretty reasonable for a relationship of 3 years) or if your girlfriend came home and told you she just banged some co-worker because he was a pretty hot dude.
Insanity. Don't think you will find many people agreeing with your philosophy on this.

I'm not giving him chit I just simply asked how did he find out that she cheated (which is a good question imo)
I may not have agreed with his decision to snitch to her boss but that was entirely up to him
but the one dude that said cheating doesn't count after 3 years of dating, you're either an idiot or a liar trying to sound cool

In my opinion, OP's actions are justified. I don't know if I'd tell on them however. The cop didn't deserve to lose his job. He probably had a family and kids to feed. Infact if he had a family, he did deserve it. The woman however is the one guilty and deserved whatever was coming to her because she went behind OP's back. The cop did what any man would. The girl made herself a available and the dude swept in. Both are in the wrong tho.
Good job op

Try thinking.
The process of "dating" is to "set dates on the calender" where you will get together as part of the "courtship" process.
Courtship:
Courtship is the period in a couple's relationship which precedes their engagement and marriage, or establishment of an agreed relationship of a more enduring kind. In courtship, a couple get to know each other and decide if there will be an engagement or other such agreement. A courtship may be an informal and private matter between two people or may be a public affair, or a formal arrangement with family approval. Traditionally, in the case of a formal engagement, it has been perceived that it is the role of a male to actively "court" or "woo" a female, thus encouraging her to understand him and her receptiveness to a proposal of marriage. Within many western societies, these distinct gender roles have lost some of their importance and rigidity. It is now common in younger generations for females to both initiate relationships and to propose marriage.
No girl or guy can "cheat" in a dating relationship because breaking the courtship is PART of the process.

You're an idiot.
A commitment isn't the paper, but the decision to solidify the relationship through your actions. As I said in a previous post, it's marriage, or the equivalent. We all know what a marriage entails and that's joining money, home, and so on. When all the things you associate with a marriage come together that's what it is in spite of technicalities.
Trying thinking before you hand out insults that just make you look stupid.
