I'm not so surprised with Pat, but I was taken aback by the fact that Gilbert was caught. He has no business using supplements yet. He should have squeezed out whatever gains he could before taking the leap. Hell, he's only nineteen whats the rush?

why waste time like that? by 19 you should already be lifting atleast over 75% of the world record. no you don't have all the time in the world to become champion.
im more surprised about him going into competitions though. even if he passed the test that time, wouldnt he become subjected to random testing and eventually test positive? rob is smart

At first I was fascinated by the Broz love, then I was confused, now it is just kinda irritating. Why on earth would you be surprised anybody from that gym got popped regardless of age? Broz's model is fairly simple: get young guys with good DNA, enhance them, train them to failure, post cool videos on Youtube, have retardedly disparate results on the platform and once you enter the drug pool, rinse, repeat. I don't have an issue with any of that, but let's not pretend it's something it's not, that bad luck for Broz explains the timing of Adell's burnout, or Mendes was sooooo close to Gold. While I still get a kick out of people trying to run a squat to failure all day, every day without the proper restoratives and then wondering why it doesn't work when it worked so well for a bunch of genetically gifted enhanced elite lifters (at least with regards to gym lifts on Youtube), usually the simplest answer is the correct one.
