There is SO much incredible stuff going on in here!
There is no doubt in my mind that you can achieve this goal. None. Zero. You have the work ethic and the drive. There is nothing to stop you!!
This makes me so happy! It is going to be an awesome feeling when those jeans fit you like a glove. AND the day will come when they are too big. That day will be a great day, too!
^^ This!
And this is what is so great about you. You set goals, you are determined to meet them, and you are confident that you can meet them!
You are really strong. Your numbers are so impressive. They make me a little jealous, and a lot motivated.
^^ IN for vids of OHPing the Christmas tree. Brilliant idea. Although, if it's a "real" tree, you might get a l'il sticky.
Sorry for such a big post - I just am filled with so much pride for you! Seriously - you are such an inspiration.

do not deserve your faith, ladies. do not! i really appreciate it though, bc i messed up foodwise this weekend. decided to take a break and eat at maintenance and then decided not to log it. so you know i ate more pie than maintenance.
the pie is gone. there will be more on thanksgiving and i will eat some then too. but then done until christmas.
to try and offset it this week and next i will eat 1500 calories on a few of the days. it wont eliminate the calorie increase, but it will help.
now i need to do this thing to prove you guys right
the baby has been a monkey wrench in my plans. i got 24 minutes of elliptical this morning and i did my main lifts today but not my accessory work. he is currently tolerating me on the computer, but just barely. we are baout to go out and play. i'm plying him with pretzels.
today!
24 minutes elliptical - early morning. hr 160's mostly.

You are doing great geek. I wouldn't worry much about the holidays and splurging a little with the family, when I lost the weight on my first cut I got to a point to where having a cheat day once per week actually helped me lose weight faster. The stress of trying to stay on target 24/7 can have adverse affects on your progress. Just realise that 50 weeks out of the year you are doing the right thing, so a couple weeks of enjoying life won't ruin your goals.

I don't know anything about anything, but I am going to have to agree with Eric. I freaked out yesterday and ate ~2600 calories. This morning I woke up with a crazy ravenous hunger. There must be something to this!

Ah holiday foodz time, the evil grinch of a lifter's cut. I agree enjoy the holidays and enjoy some treats, but if you can keep on track most of the time then you are moving in the right direction. Hitting macros MOST of the time is better than saying ah screw it and giving up, you'll be fine. (And yeah most people do cheat meals at least once a week, pretty normal.) Hold your head high, lift some weights, eat an xmas tree sugar cookie AND some broccoli (well not together I hope lol) and carry on lady. It's all about balance.

the midget is so insane! we call him the raccoon bc it is really like lviing with one. all day long he gets into everything. spills and messes everywhere. as soon as i've cleaned one he has made another. he recently flushed a washcloth down the toilet, ruining our sewage pump (mountain living requires sewage pumps who knew?). it's a rental, too :embarrassed:
thank you so much for the arm circles idea. just by reading your log, i get so many ideas.
thanks, louise! still going. even when i go nuts with food and stuff, i think logging it all here is better for me than pretending it didnt happen. i passed out at 8pm last night with the baby and woke at 3:30 ready to go. after i finish looking at journals (or haha maybe not even finish) i am getting on the elliptical while its still quiet around here.
aw, thank you swooshie! <3
you are the best, eric. for real. thank you for putting it into perspective for me.
MOAR FOOD? YES! lol
holidays are really tough, esp when you are doing the mom thing and the 8 year old (almost nine. omg i'm gonna tear up!) wants to bake All The Things! he's so freaking cute. the raccoon and the monkey are so so so adorable.
hi beatha!!! i'm doing 215x5 which i've never done so hopefully it will be a good deadlift day. i love it when you post in my journal. /fanclub fawning

Hi, Geek! quick de-lurk here to tell ya you are doing a fantastic job! I don't know how you mother's can do all you do & still find time for yourself! I, too, struggle with food issues (former bulimic here) & general weight/food/alcohol obsessions. For me, it is a daily struggle, just one day at a time. But, weightlifting has really given me a focus, a goal & that is helping. I read through your whole journal & will continue to follow you. You are awesome! Happy Thanksgiving!

hey tina!
chryl, thank you! wow. it's really nice of you to come in and read and stuff. if you find it useful to make a journal of your own, i'm in!
yep, i hear you on addiction issues. it's frustrating sometimes, but i completely agree that weightlifting gives me a focus. getting the next bigger number is similar to getting the next drink or big slice of pie; it's a carrot you can eternally chase for the high. i do thrive on that aspect of it and thankfully now have an outlet for that obsessive nature of mine.
MADCOW Deadlift Day Wednesday Week 5
Squats
65x5
90x5
115x5
115x5
Military Press
barx5
50x5

Deadlifts
118x5
151x5

PR's from here on out with MADCOW. I am so excited!
Now I am off to cook and bake. I bought pies from the local BBQ place who make ahhh-mazing pie, but lots more baking and cooking to do. Enjoy, people, bc I know I will without (too much) guilt.
if i'm not back again before thanksgiving, happy thanksgiving to everyone! you ladies (and guys!) are the best. so thankful for all of you.

Heck yeah! That's awesome geek - you are doing so great!
Enjoy your Thanksgiving and don't be too hard on yourself about some treats. I'm going to try to make good choices during dinner (lots of turkey, green beans, and a smidge of sweet potatoes haha) so that I can maybe enjoy a piece of pie and definitely some wine. The wine I'll have no matter what, I'll need to see what the pies look like before I make up my mind there - not going to splurge if it doesn't look worth it ya know?!!
PS - Red is right - you are totally the Xena of balancing life and healthPlease join me on my journey to find balance:
