I cam back from taking a week off on Monday and yesterday and today I'm so sore I can barely raise my arms over my head. Is this normal?

Hey buddy,
Got your message... You are already ahead of the game! You have the ability to push yourself to the point that you are too sore to move.. Most people don't have the motivation to do that. You just have to channel that energy and be smart about it. I would say that if you are trying to gain, don't go any higher than 10 to 12 reps. As jeulz said, dropping of a set or an exercise might be wise too! If the weight you are pressing is comfortable then keep it. Just make sure you are not squirming off the bench on your last two reps. Keep the weight in a controlled state the entire lift. Don't get me wrong, you still want your last 3 reps to be earned. Lift hard and smart! Good things will happen!Darren Conroy
