Awfully quiet lately.

I took 3rd in the Mr. Leather 64Ten contest last weekend. Got a few great shots, a bronze medal, tickets for CLAW, and the Brotherhood Award (a type of Mr Congeniality). Surprisingly pleased with the outcome. There's a good picture of us in the GRAB magazine, and I even got my name (misspelled) in the Windy City Times as 2nd runner-up. A partial success, I guess, LOL.

Heading out on another cruise in a week....really need the getaway....
Had an active shooter in the mall this past weekend....pretty damn scary...was locked down for two hours....
It happened at the Equinox Fitness next door.
A fired trainer came back and killed his two supervisors and then took his own life....
And I had almost gone over to the juice bar at that time to get lunch.....
So sad.....

So far I've managed to minimize, though not totally avoid, indulging in holiday goodies. No need to wear jogging pants at this point ... but who knows -- the season isn't over yet

Despite what I often hear, I've never met a lot of gay bodybuilders, and sometimes feel uncomfortable in a gym full of straight guys looking down on me

I haven't met a body builder at all haha. Gay or straight! I'm starting to think they are a dying breed.

There's are two bodybuilders who goes to my gym. One who is very tall but also very thick looking and another one is a famous one (Kai Greene). I never realized we lived close together, I've seen him a few times now and not just in the gym lol.

Trust me...there are a ton.
Try going to Provincetown for Bear Week, or Miami for White Party or Winter Party, Palm Springs or FLL any time of the year....or any Atlantis or RSVP Cruise....

Been away from the gym more than I'd like...
Workout partner moved away...
I've let work get in the way....
I've survived another couple of layoffs, but already have plan B in case I din't survive the next....
We will be looking to relocate to the SW coast....much cheaper over there...
I am back in the gym now, but mostly just for cardio and maybe 20 minutes of light weight work....
Will be hitting the big 5-5 in a week....body doesn't recover as quickly as it did when I was younger....

Such is life I guess......
Celebrating by going to see U2 at Dolphin Stadium and then will head up to Disney for a week......

Back from vacation… Worked 2 1/2 weeks… And we are heading out of town again.
12 nights in Cali....
6 nights in San Fran and 6 nights in LA. Visiting family and friends.
We have narrowed our search down in Naples… But we are putting off a final decision until after we get back. We have been getting rid of a lot of stuff at our house to make the move go easier...

I'm new here; glad to have found this thread and have read through lots of the older postings. lots of fun people sharing stories here. I have a question, as a new person; before I start to post a thread I check to see if there is already a thread about the same or similar topic. Usually there are pages of them. If I find one that I like, and I post a reply, in minutes [ sometimes seconds ] a reply will come that says ' stop bumping old threads' and I get negged. Isn't it better to use the threads already available than always starting a new one? is there some BB.com rule about checking/updating threads? Am I missing something? thanks for your help.

There's no rule. People are just dicks sometimes. You can bump an old one if you've got something important to say, but they like whatever is new and not what is old.
