Hey y'all hope everyone's been doing ok

My job has changed and I never get any time to get on here anymore. Worst thing is my gym time is taking a hit too and I'm forced to try and have decent workouts in crappy Marriott hotel gyms which is pretty much a treadmill and a few other worthless machines

Sold my Wrangler and now I'm kinda bummed. Wasn't even for sale but someone offered me $22,000 for it and I sold it before I even realized what I did...

The concert was AWESOME btw!!! I was pretty far back... way up high at the very back in fact.. so couldn't get any good piccies... but they've still got it!! They are super gay and super camp.. Everyone was up dancing to all the songs though.. doing the moves to Tragedy; 5,6,7,8; and Stomp etc.
Lee from STEPS also trains at the gym one of my mate's works at as a PT. He was apparently intimidated by my mate's Deadlift. (M12 on here... very straight!).

Anyway.. for MenStraight... some vids (not of the night, though easily findable on YouTube)

First crush that you can remember their name.

Seems like we are having a hard time getting this thread off the ground. I thought it might be interesting to remember our first crushes. First name, our age at the time, where you were.

For me his name was Lance. I was a 15/16 and he was a grade older. And we were in gym class together. He was kind of a tougher dark complexion guy that just thinking about him still gets me to sigh. I can still remember his white wife beater he would wear to class. And he was nice to me. (I sucked at sports but could make people laugh).

My other crush from this same period of time was my English teacher Mr Taylor. I think he was 27 and I thought he was a hunk. He was the advisor to the motorcycle club. He wore fry boots and had this kind of 70's porn mustache. I used to write stories that had some pretty risky sexual overtones especially considering this was a rural highschool. One time he said in front of the whole class, mntbikedude you need to get laid.

You can, and need to find a ground that you know you are suppose to stand on.. hence, stand your ground, this is the place where you know everything is as it should be for you. If you stand in a place where you know in your heart things are wrong, most things around you will never be right.

Rule number one, never work at being what another man defines as being "honorable", Honorable is is being true to what you know and and doing what you know is right for you..

Nice all these references to gym class reminded me of those happy days of shirts and skins. I always like being a skin. To bad they don't still do that beyond school. Like ok those working on project A are skins, those working on project B will be shirts.

Haha.. I think my first 'legit' crush was at 16 too. Brad... the preacher's son. YIKES! I did, in a few subtle ways, throw myself at him; but as I recall, he stayed over a few nights and his hands certainly did wander over to my side of the bed during the night

My first crush was a fellow chorister named Ryan. He was a year behind me in high school, and I thought he was quite pretty. Bright eyes, perfect teeth, well-dressed, and had a lovely tenor voice. He was also athletic, and always smelled of that cologne you get at the Hollister store. Of course I didn't know how to handle this guy, so I hated on him whenever I had the chance. Most of it was because he excelled where I failed. Complicated with the black humour of jealousy. Whenever I jerked off, his was the face I conjured.
Later I grew up some and tried to be a friend to this guy, but the damage was done. Didn't see him but twice after graduation. Later I found his F*ckbook page - and he got FAAAAAT. And married some dragon of a woman. Lol, some people peak in high school. I don't know whether it's funny or sad.

    Carpal Tunnel Question

    Hey guys,

Sorry to derail the first crush discussion (mine was at 16), but I have a question.

I did chest today, and experienced sharp pain in my wrist doing dumbbell presses. The weight wasn't too heavy and was able to push through the set. I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and was wondering if there's any way to work around it without having to lighten the load. Thanks guys :-)

Great for Carpal Tunnel, Locust Pose.. maybe you're familiar with it? You don't have to lift your legs if you just want the wrist and forearm work. I sometimes sit on my forearms when on a couch or reclining; helps my CT immensely and the more you do it, the better it feels.

You using weightlifting gloves with wrist wraps? That would probably help too.

Fellow chorister, this reminded me of lettering in choir lol. For some reason you couldn't get a lettermans jacket for lettering in choir. Anyway I had two groups of friends my jock friends (I wasn't a jock but I provided the group with comic relief was voted class clown) and my homo friends (none of us were out including to each other). At any rate we were cruising state street in SLC in my friends 62 Rambler (two of these friends were kinda fat) anyways were are cruising state and this car full of guys pull up and they yell are you guys phags (we thought they said fat) and so the one kid yelled back two of us are and two of us aren't. Good times.

NOTE: cruising state was not like "cruising" it was what young people did back before facebook to see and be seen. See American Graffiti.

That would have been quite fun to see how they would have delt with it. They probably woulda sent you two off to therapy to change you to straight. Or worse......

Thanks, I'll try using a wrap next time...I really don't want to go back to using a machine...aside from the wrist pain, I like using free weights :-)

Great visual My brother was pretty popular in high school (complete opposite of me lol) and was really into sports so a lot of his friends were football players and other jocks. I remember one time one of his friends was dating the sister of my GF at the time and he gave me a ride home. It was just him and I in the car and I would get nervous at the awkward silences between our conversations. I was trying so hard not to seem like a love crazed teenaged girl lol This was the early 90's... I think Ace of Base was playing on the radio

Awwwww dude I could so feel that tension when I read that. Ok so here is one of my greatest crush moments of all time. I had this co-worker that I had this serious crush on. He was gorgeous, great bod, cute, very masculine and on top of that he was a dancer. Anyway one day I asked him if he would help me lay some sod. He agreed and as we are working it starts getting hot so he asks if I would be offended if he took off his shirt. (inside I was OMG OMG OMG) on the outside I was sure, I'll take mine off too.

So here I am laying sod with this hunk, both shirtless, both getting sweaty and dirty from the sod.........awwwww I was in heaven. That still brought this huge smile to my face.
