Supposedly they reformulated to make them taste better. To be honest, I'm not a fan of their flavors compared to Optimum Nutrition... but I can't justify myself spending so much extra cash on ON 100% whey when I will sip it down in a few seconds anyway. I'm hoping that the chocolate fudge flavor will be amazing (it got good reviews), because I am really sick of chocolate mint.

Interesting, I guess it's just the taste that's changed then... for some reason I thought it previously had like 35mg/serving, but I guess that was just hearsay from a forum. Per the Dymatize website: "Elite Whey Protein is packed with 25 grams of fast-absorbing 100% pure whey protein per serving. Exactly what your body needs to build muscle and recover after rigorous workouts. Elite Whey Protein has been reformulated to deliver an even more decadent taste experience. Now when you finish your workout, your protein isn't just a necessity, it's a reward as well."
As for the caffeine and its metabolism, I know I'm particularly sensitive, especially when it comes to insomnia, which I have a tendency toward anyway. Even a can of coke zero w/ ~45gm caffeine keeps me up at night.

increased carbs, reduced proteins and added a bunch of stuff to make it creamier/thicker based on the reviews.

Just to clarify, the "fudge brownie" is one of the Elite XT flavors, while the "chocolate fudge" is one of the regular Elite Whey flavors. For whatever reason, the macros of these two lineups are significantly different. The XT is supposedly "extended release" (contains whey, casein, soy, and egg proteins).

Animal Whey FCB - where's the cinammon? overrated IMO. disappointed with this one.
Animal Whey C&C - not a fan of mix-ins in my protein, so nix on the cookie bits. not much cookie flavour, more creme. reminded me of infant formula. bad.
Animal Whey Salted caramel - sweet, chemical tasting caramel. i would pass on this.
ProSupps PSwhey chocolate brownie - very sweet milky chocolate. sorta like cutler's.
Oh Yea Snickledoodle - very very good. Nice buttery cinnamony goodness.
SAN Ti Whey berry - good. loved to mix this in with my yogurt and to make protein pancakes.
SAN Ti Banana coconut - good. decent balance of coconut and banana. not as chemical tasting as I expected it to be.
BPI ISO peanut butter choco bar - reminded me of DS Sustain. good. mixes decent for an iso.
MRM dutch choco - stay the fuk away from this.
SAN natural whey Chocolate - good. sorta like milo. similar taste to wheysmooth, but less cupcakey
SAN natural whey vanilla - straight up vanilla with a bit of butterscotch. decent.
Cellucor Red Velvet - loved to bake with this. drinking not so much. mixes thick. it's like a sweet plain, slightly buttery chocolate.
Ceullucor Vanilla - reminded me of Scivation's old vanilla. Not too sweet, middle of the road vanilla. You can't get much done in life if you only work on the days when you feel good.
