Independent Trainers: Rent a place vs. Your Home?

I'm getting my NASM certification soon. I'm wanting to know from those very successful independent trainers which is a better option. Renting a place (studio, random open building, etc etc.) so it has that more professional business front look versus setting up a very nice looking workout area in your personal home?

    Pros and cons of each?
Mind divulging how much you're making a year (and how much you charge a session) and which setup you're doing?

    Thank you

i have experience with neither, so take my advice with a grain of salt..

but from what i've read from a liability standpoint it can be dangerous to train inside your home. at a studio if someone sue happy get's injured your home is not in jeopardy, where if you train out of your house (and i'm sure it varies from state to state) potential your house could be part of the equation.

Also if you get insurance the insurance may require that you be providing your services at a place of business. Your home is not commercial property
