Syracuse really fell off the map the last few weeks
Some solid college bball, scared to fill out a bracket here soon. The upsets are going to be never ending. You may not even see a #1 seed in the final four with how trying to hold the #1 spot all season was pretty damn hard.
Do you guys see Indiana, Gonzaga, Duke, or Michigan in the final four?

sure
or
MSU, Georgetown, Kansas, and VCU
or Butler, Florida, Lousville, and Miami
or ....
well you get the point
But imagine if the NB and NCAA mandated just a 2year requirement.
Kentucky would still have the UNIbrow
Duke would still have Rivers, etc.
There would be some really good top end teams.
And what rookies in the last 3-4 years have come in and just wowed us?
Irving and Griffin?
Meanwhile we lose about 20 guys who arent quite reay every year.
They get lost in the shuffle in the NBA and the NCAA loses great talent.
If I was Sports Czar I would change two things about each sport
NCAA/NBA:1. A 2 year commitment min
2. a reduction in playoff teams to 12 (following the NFL format so that the regular season actually matters. Giving top team byes and not allowing mediocre teams in at all).
NHL:
1. Reduce goalie pad size to increase scoring and not allow goalies to stuff the net
2. Reduce playoff teams to 12 (like I stated for the NBA)
MLB:1. Change the luxury cap/revenue sharing structure. It is stupid that the bottom teams can spend so little and get paid tens of millions of dollars to not even try to be competitive.
2. Less gauranteed contracts. Limit the number of years and maybe only let a certain % be gauranteed
NFL:
1. Allow more defensive back contact (hand). This would limit the ridiculous passing records being put up / shattered. And it would also make the game actually safer. Fewer passing attempts. And also less reliance on huge safety and LB hits downfield/over the middle because WRs are just plain open because they can break free from coverage so easily right now.

Tiger wins a ourney after beating out Stricker by 2 shots, after stricker gave him putting lessons/tips before the tourney.
Not to long before the Master's.
College bball ended with a bang with a great game between Michigan and Indiana. Now its conference tourney time which I probably enjoy more than NCAA tourney due to the rivalries.
Flacco doesn't think Boldin should have to take a pay cut...o brother.
NFL Free agency less than 48 hrs away and we should be hearing rumors by tomorrow.Founder of MMDELAD

Harbough colusion: Boldin goes to SF for a 6th rounder
Seahawks pick up Harvin. Risky move giving up a 1st rounder. Obvious top end talent but the injury history is oncerning.
Deandre Jordan's dunk (missed it last night) has to be the dunk of the year and best in quite some time. The amazing thing is he is left handed.

FA begins tomorrow and I can't wait
Conference tourneys will begin tomorrow and Wednesday for those who care.
How are the Knicks still #2 in the East? I just dont see them as any sort of legit threat. I could see them bowing out in round 1. I like the Pacers, C's Nets and probably Bulls (even w/o Drose) more than them.
For a team reliant on offense, they seem to have very little flow and cohesion. All for 1 and 1 for me.Last edited by determined4000; 03-11-2013 at 09:24 PM.

Agree on Wallace
They overpay for him and now won't resign the best FA on the market (Jake Long) or Bush
I think Welker tries to scare the Pats but resigns there (Broncos, Colts may go after him)
If he leaves, people around here will go nutz.
How would you guys rank the FA WRs (signed and unsigned):
Wallace
Jennings
Cruz
Welker
Welker has ben most productive but is oldest and more prone to get beat up
Cruz combines the talent and youth but requires you pay him + give up aa 1st rounder
Wallace is the biggest deep threatFounder of MMDELAD

I dont think i have ever seen the marlins fill half the stadium for a baseball game ever....
Serious...
Ticket sales are great, but if you dont win games or go to the playoffs, your fans wont come out and support you. Its bad enough Florida Radio absolutely slams the dolphins every year. Go turn on any AM station and they talk smack on the dolphins every year.
Boldin to the 49's was shocking....

About half of the top 50 ranked FA have now already signed.
That was quick.
Still some big names on the market though.
Dwight returns to Orlando and they foul, foul, foul him (39FTA).
Heat win again. The way they are playing, you can tell they are going for the record, regardless if they want to admit it ornot.
Will have conference tourney games on ESPN3 playing in a small window on my laptop at work tomorrow (lol).
A few years ago, the NFC West was a joke and had no .500 team and now they have the two SB favorites (according to Vegas)
On the other side, the AFC North, which was arguable the best with Pitt, Cinci, and Baltimore as playoff teams, has taken a big step back. Steelers already were down last year and now dont have Wallace or Harrison. Ravens lose Krueger Lewis, Boldin, Ellerbe, and possibly Reed and Mckinnie.Founder of MMDELAD

How on earth does Wallace get that much and welker is only worth 6mil/yr?
How on earth is Tom Brady not irate after taking team friendly deal?
How on earth do the Pats think they are better giving Amendola 6mil a year+ for 5 years than Welker 6mil a year for 2 year?
How on earth did some other team not sign welker for more than 12million total? Plenty of teams could use/afford him.
How on earth is Peyton Manning not doing an Irish jig right now?Founder of MMDELAD

Broncos take step forward, NE a step back.
I think the team that looks the most improved is KC. They have done a lot. Complete overhaul.
Ravens have obviously lost the most.
n the NFC, the strong get stronger (seattle, SF) and I think Chicago, minny and Dallas take steps backFounder of MMDELAD

Another day, another hole filled in the Chiefs Kingdom. Geoff Schwartz. Front office finding solid workmen to fill holes and putting together what is looking like an actual football team. Looking for 10-6 year. Where have you been all my life Andy Reid?

#6 ichigan goes down
#5 G-town goes down
#2 Duke goes down
Kobe hurt?
Big signing for Minny bringing in Jennings to replace Harvin
Not only do they add back some/all of what they lost BUT as importantly, they take him away from their division foe. ARodgers going too ave to go w/o many weapons.
Like ATL replacing Turner with Sjax. With Tony back they should take their division as again.
Cards released Kolb. Well that worked out well, not.
And o course the Jets are interested (so now they will have 5 backup QBs?)Last edited by determined4000; 03-15-2013 at 11:45 PM.
