Yes, I am a Chiefs fan. It's not so much I hate Alex Smith coming here, it's what this move signifies. Ever since the Blackridge debacle, the Chiefs have been making this very same move. Take somebody else's game manager backup or aging backup. Reid is supposed to be some genius with QBs, so let's go for a Franchise.

I know taking Smith or Glennon first pick would be reaching, but in all honesty, those are the only two I see as possibilities. They'll be gone by pick 34 and we'll be holding Tyler Wilson or EJ Manuel. To me, taking Smith means we don't draft QB until second round, and we end up with Alex Smith and Alex Smith Jr. We might as well of held on to Kyle Orton 2 years ago.

Then again, you never know what a draft pick is going to do, and Andy Reid is better at this than I am.

taking a qb in this draft equals over paying for a guy you are gona wanna ditch in 2 years + wasting a high pick when you could draft a talented player elsewhere

No one cares what an OLineman runs in the 40. Unfortunately the players actually spend time practicing it so thy just don't bomb the thing. Players, teams, and evaluation process would be better served if they ditched it to showcase some other skill (explosiveness, another strength-based metric, etc.)

You need some top tier dominant teams in college basketball and there are absolutely none

Yanks trying to sign Cano before he hits FA which is smart. There lineup this year is already looking very depleted and he is their best hitter and all around player.
They are going to have to sign him one way or another, so better to avoid a bidding war in 8 months.
The other names will be Mccann and Ellsbury for position players but there are quite a few pitchers
