I've been hooked lately on the gym's dry sauna. Started using it for 10-15 after workouts as a means to help sweat out excess salt but it's also been fun just to watch all the vascularity it drives too.

No. Especially not after training, not after I did heat after one of my strongman shows, it took twice as long to recover because of it. Heat may make you feel looser temporarily, but heat also spreads inflamation.

Dunno man, that's it for me. I train 5-7am so there's not much shenanigans in there, and I'm told the disco ball doesn't even come out until after lunch.
guilty. I just walk back there dressed as I train. When my clothes are soaked through, I go home."I'm not a Ninja, but I played one on TV." -cmoore, American Ninja Warrior (ANW 7,8)

I used to go the sauna when I was a young man at a nearby Finnish community. The sauna felt good but the old guys beating themselves with switches got my attention. Took a while to get used to watching a bunch of old naked men slapping the shyt out each other. Later I found out it was tradition and was done to open and activate the pores. I never tried it. Haven't been to the sauna in years.

My small fitness center doesn't have one, but whenever I'm staying in a hotel with one I like to use it. It's a nice relaxing way to start the day after a lousy hotel fitness center workout. I know it's just psychological, but if I use it the morning after drinking it feels like I'm sweating out the excess alcohol.
