The bottom of the Earths deepest ocean is like a desolate lunar landscape, film director James Cameron revealed after making the first solo dive seven miles below the surface.
Mr Cameron became the first person to explore the Mariana Trench, which is larger than the Grand Canyon and as deep as Mount Everest is tall, alone.
It was very lunar, a very desolate place, very isolated, he said.
My feeling was one of complete isolation from all of humanity.
Its very different than what you imagine. You have to go through it, you have to really experience it.

Not the first person to visit it. He's the first to solo it. Don Walsh and some Swiss guy did it back in the 60's.

^ What is this wizardry?
And here I was thinking the deepest spot in the world was inside OP's mother's vajMiscimus would be ashamed of all of you for crying over his death. He'd
be hissing at you and probably flying at you to try to gouge out your
eye. If he were here, he'd tell you straight up: "Acquire servants.
Acquire oranges. Acquire women. **** yourself to death."

Interesting. If he solo dived it that means the technology is there to better research the deep areas of the ocean. Will be interested in reading about what lives down there in the future.
