OP did you think you were changing lives when you posted this crap? Any regular on this forum read about half of your first post and either exited the thread or neg'd you. You keep trying to defend this nonsense and everyone else will keep laughing at you. Good luck with your muscle building goals in 2012.

I assume OP was just trolling by pasting someone else's really terrible (and ancient) article...just google "So-called ketogenic diets can thrust your kidneys into overdrive in order to flush these ketones from your body."

And the fish all jumped right into OP's boat.
Think you can, think you can't - doesn't matter. Either way, you're right.

This is why we can't have nice things.
Short term Goal: To cut back before bulking like a demon.
Mid term Goal: To find myself.
Long term Goal: To get what's mine.

67 lbs in 9 years and still counting... (started at 100lbs)

It's a hater's job to hate. So let them hate...

There’s so much bull**** information everywhere it’s hard to pave a way through it. I agree however that you are on the right track with your protein numbers. On average I believe a 170-200 lbs males needs 60-70 grams of protein. If muscle growth is the focus then that needs to be raised to 70-80 grams. And there is no one on earth who can put on 1 lb of muscle a week. The best of the best can put on 1-2 lbs a month and that’s in perfect conditions and that tapers off after 20lbs with the pro lifters getting as high as 40-50 lbs....steroids not included! Also muscle memory is not taken into consideration as that brings in focus muscle which was obtained but lost to lack of use. This muscle is regained much faster.

This thread is 7 years old, OP was wrong and full of nonsense and you are also wrong. You can "believe" whatever you want but studies have found actual optimal protein targets which are higher than your "beliefs."
