Great pull c. I bet the lighter weight makes the gymnastics stuff way easier. Any time I practice flags or levers I wish I'd skipped leg day lol.

Incredible pull Chris. 2.66xBW is impressive enough. Doing it DOH with no grip aids in unreal.

TY. Appreciate it. I'm a little depleted but I think with some salt, a few carbs, and a ton of water I'll fill out a bit. The one day I wear shorts and the gym was freezing too.

Much easier. Gravity doesn't seem to really apply to me right now until I strap on weights.

Thanks! I feel pretty good. I won't have any excuses when I get there.

I think I had more in me but I'm a little leery of pushing my tendons and ligs right now.

Training continues. Thanks as always for the support and encouragement.

    -training continues aggressively.
-I'm getting really small (down to 171) but have held on to most of my strength
-the lighter weight has benefited my agility though

Good looking pull Chris and amazing at 171! You're right to leave a little bit on the floor and not risk a tendon or back injury. You need that strength but I suspect that being lighter and more agile will benefit you in the comp

That's what I'm thinking. 455 is set. Haven't missed (nor struggled with it) in 3 dead days now. Feels good. That my weights are moving well enough has helped with the raging dysmorphia (so small and depending on my water, salt, and carbs pretty damn flat too).

Got on an actual salmon ladder for first time in forever yesterday. Here's a clip from first attempt. A little clumsy but no falls or misses.

That is cool. Is the ladder at your home? I have always wanted to try one... definitely looks like fun.

I have always thought that it is more of a test than an exercise... if you weren't training for an event do you think it would have value over regular pull ups, MUs etc?

    That pic is crazy :0

It's great that you've hung on to your strength so well so you'd have to think that you've kept most of your muscle while getting so super lean. Are you having carb load days now or have you started cycling nutrients more now that you've gone into a deeper cut?

Thanks. Still doing all my old routines and basic stuff plus always looking for variations to push me and hopefully skill build for the show.

Thanks. Ladder is at a local gym. It's the owners playroom of sorts (not open to public). They're trying to decide if they want to add ninja based training rooms to their facilities.
I don't think salmons have any benefit beyond an odd skill.

The LF handle transfers are just a fun pull up deviant.
If you can do two, you can do as many as you want.

Not sure what I measure. I'm pretty thin though.

Diet is pretty much the same strategy as always just a little lower calorie, but I will shift macros targets around every once and a while. I'm eating more salt these days though (lets me drink more water).

had a decent workout today. just about everything puffed up (triceps stayed a little flat) so I snapped a couple for records. If I was a little better with my water and sodium, I think I'd dry down a bit more yet. Still not bad LBM for being as light as I am right now 171. Just 39 more days to ANW.

I think some of that is I'm usually so pale that any detail washes out on camera. I've just started to get some sun and a little color so the same old cuts look a little better. With 38 days to go and a deeper tan, I might tighten up a little bit more yet.

Then the local NBC station called shortly after. They're coming out to film/interview me tomorrow.

I sure hope this helps the fundraiser ( www.AmericanNinja4kids.com ) as this is just weirding me out a little.

Oh, btw, cmoore, what's your opinion on the "whey" scandal going on? That studies are showing consumers only getting half the whey that's promised.

I see you curbed your fish oil intake due to recent research, will you perhaps change out whey for more whole food? I know that you know every calorie and macro that goes into your body down to the last molecule, so I'm eager to get your take.

Also, based on that finding, have you ever noticed feeling different, or having better or worse recoveries based on the whey brands you've used?

Some obstacle should not even slow me down, others will require more attention (possibly luck).

Donations are at $4180.00 I'm hoping to hit 5k by the time I hit the steps in June. Once the show airs, donation will depend on how I do and how they decide to portray me in the edits.

    Thanks!

Amino spiking has been pretty prevalent for a long time. Some brands are more trustworthy than others. I always liked the taste of musclepharm but it always felt like it had less energy/calories (idk how to explain it). I would always end up shifting my intake around when I used their protein. With other brands (which I beleive were/are on the level) I didn't notice the same feeling. I like Now's pure unflavored whey the best (and nutrishop's pro7ein tastes really good blended in my coffee). I do eat a ton of whole foods protein sources too though (particularly chicken, turkey, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese)

Little bit of both. Been working my grip so hard of late I was a little surprised to feel my fingers give a little and it broke my focus just enough that my back tension didn't feel right enough to gut it out. I might run at it again in 3days if it feels right. Deads are not my primary goal beyond their positive influence on jumps though.

The new pictures are incredible Chris. Hard to believe you and I are just a couple of pounds apart. I look nothing like you in terms of muscle mass. If I were just swinging a guess at your weight I would likely guess 190ish with the size of your delts, arms, and pecs.
That 470 pull was great as well. Even though you didn't get it up all the way, you ripped it off the floor like I do 135 lbs.

Thanks brother. It doesn't feel like there's much to me right now. The dysmorphia voice is pretty loud "you're so small!" This time its different because when those thoughts hit, I say "good! I need to be small- high speed & low drag

I'm 4 weeks out for ANW today and figure a high calorie day is due in case my met needs a reset button push.
IDK that my body even knows what Leptin is anymore, and yes, I know Leptin levels usually require more than one heavy meal. That being said, I've had better outcomes of late with one calorie spike vs my historical 24 and 48 feeds:

Scheduled refeed today (and it's my birthday- 43):
-minimal intake early in the day fasted w/o, 30P post/wo, 50P lunch,
    -Big refeed dinner: 100P, 400C (100F), 80F

    Target Daily Totals:
    180P
    408C
    84F
    ~3100 calories (600 TDEE surplus)
