    Thanks brother. All or nothing.

Thanks! I got some great feedback and pulled that version.

    _________

And the final app is in.... They set a 250mb (or 3min) max. I had to trim it a little to keep to higher resolution, but I think it turned out nicely (I added a lot of everyone's suggestions-thank you). I also added a shredded pic/still to the application.

If I'm selected, I'll compete in the qualifier sometime between March and May. Wish me luck.

Thanks everyone for the support and suggestions. Gonna have to up my game now...I'm doing this to raise money for Shriners Hospital so "no pressure" right?

Low res version is pretty blurry (actual vid submitted is like 238 mb and a ton crisper).

Bumped it over for you... great video and good luck brother. IMO you deserve a spot for sure.

Wow, I think you're on the verge of becoming famous.

If I had to be picky with a gun to my head, I'd trim off some human flag work (I think a few seconds of that is plenty, especially the cool opener) and add a couple of bench press 315 for a couple to attract the hardcore power lifters/ footballer's as well as the climbing/Parkour community.

Other than that, you really are one of a kind in that you're not really in one type of field. You're not a competitive bodybuilder, but you'd slay most on stage. You're not a competitive powerlifter, yet you'd crush in that arena, and you're not competitive Parkour or climber, and yet yet you would turn heads from those people.

Best of all, you'd have all the 35+ community of America rooting for you. You're a very exciting prospect in my opinion. Oh, lastly, the hardworking dads are rooting for you too

Ps: but we can't let our wives watch you lol

Have only ever seen a few minutes of ANW, not a big show here in NZ, but from what I saw of it, you'd be a great choice to compete, best of luck.

Ps. As far as advice for training, I would say grip strength should perhaps be placed at the forefront.

Seems no matter how good someone is, if they lose momentum on a rope swing, or miss a rung, the grip is first to screw them.

Also, I would scrap any leg mass work, or leg endurance work. Only do plyometric explosive work for them. Shedding any unnecessary weight in the legs/glutes is a huge advantage IMO. Aside from lifting the heavy doors towards the end, which can be done thru explosiveness, I can't think of any movement which involves enduring massive leg strength.

No not really. Same old thing (seems to work).

    Update:

    Sorry for the tardiness.

The Show called. They like me and are presenting me to the network for final approval. One step closer.

Meanwhile, I'm working on setting a parallel fundraiser for Shriners so that even if I couldn't win them the prize money, the shriners will still win for me trying. Should have an online charity drive set up in the coming week or so.

Awesome work Chris! Here's to making the last step!
Will you put up a link to your online fundraising? You can put me down for $100 to get the ball rolling. Let's see if bb.com can't generate some decent cash for a good cause...

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the support. Sorry I haven't been around much. So much going on, I just haven't been as social as I'd like. Hoping to get things locked tight and be around more in the coming future.

Fundraising page is up but fledgling ( http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraise...hriners/donate ). So far, I have managed a few company sponsors that will be added in the coming days/weeks. Most are local to my city but one is a shirt company that said they would make shirts and donate their proceeds to the fundraiser.

Wow this is really exciting. Can't wait to watch you with the kids. ninja and Agt are our favorites.

The only downfall is that massive traffic will eventually crash this thread when you get famous.

No word yet. The next city to be called for is Kansas City, they say those selected for KC will hear by the end of the month. I'm training like that's my city but IDK. Could still be passed over too.

I'm on track to peak for mid April either way so if ANW sends me to KC (4/17-18). I'm going to look sharp (and hopefully destroy their course too). Quick prog gif from tonight. Cold, Flat, and No water management/voodoo.

If you get a chance, I would like to hear your thoughts on keeping immunity up while staying shredded. The two times I have been really ill for extended periods of times as an adult have come when I have been very lean(for me) and at my lowest scale weight. Both of these times were following extended but small deficits.

I eat a lot of cinnamon, capsaicin, live culture yogurt, and a lot of butter. All of which I've read impacts immune system positively.

I think the sauna helps (fever induction) I use it pretty regularly.

I drink a ton of water.

I train a lot but I'm conscious not to over do it (when I ran marathons and longer, I'd get sinusitis after big races like clockwork)

If/when I start to feel wonky, it's flu season, OR my kids come home with school plaques, I add elderberry to my daily (I like the caps from GNC the best). IDK, if it helps but I seen some studies that sound good and well Placebo seems to help me either way.

I've also always wondered if lower carb intake makes it harder on opportunistic pathogens too? <shrug>
