Awesome collars, hulked. Where'd they come from?

Ndmike99, are the hubs chipped or cracked? That's a York plate. 45 pounds, right?

I bought them along with the metric set Atty. But got these by mail since he forgot to get these along when we met...Now to find something to use them with

The bar appears to be a York power bar. Nice set. Very unfortunate that the owner didn't take better care of this stuff.

Feels so bad to look at them being treated like that. Looks like they have been lying outside all along. But good that he has decided to sell em. Hope they get a nice bath with citric powder, a coat of wd40 and a shine with rustoleum painters touch

You need dumbbell handles! And a York curl bar.

I love the rust. I like that weathered beat look. I generally just wipe them off with some WD40 and put them on the tree.

I sold that set about 10 years ago and now have come back full circle to having quite a bit of York Barbell equipment. I have posted some pictures of some of my olympic plates and gym.

Thanks, The size of the room is 22' x 34'. I have been lucky finding things on craigs and making good connections. I have only been collecting the old iron since Jan 2012. I live in the hot bed of Eastern PA, so that is a big help.

Thanks, the platform was used in York Barbell competitions. It would be set up in hotel ball rooms all over. I got it thru a guy who knows someone who still helps out at York Barbell.

Getting back on topic, a friend of mine in the modelling and entertainment business came across an amazing find, York Oly "wrenchless" collars. Not your average spinlocks, these collars weigh more and the wheels are not interchangeable with the regular five-pound York Oly collars. The wingnuts are attached to the bolts, which come out of the collars. They also weigh around 5.5 pounds. The speculation is that these are either the missing link between 50's ship's wheel collars and the more recent spinlocks, or that they are collars for the York KG plates. The amazing thing is, he came across a few sets of these. Usually collectors find one or two of something. Not this time.

You are sending me into a spiral of depression. That gym is unreal. Not only do you have all the York stuff we all love, but you have a a couple trees full of Jackson stuff. WOW. I think I am moving to eastern PA...

Thanks Slumpbuster, I plan on making this the year of the Dumbbell, I have already added 4 sets of Jackson globes this year. I got the the half of the hundred York roundhead from the dumbbells in Cincy. The 100# side weighed in at 54lb 8.8oz, amazing.
