    Handwritten with a stylus? No.

BTW, if you hit the sleeves with a fine or medium wire wheel brush the metal won't look so flat.

Is there any chance that York could have made the DP stuff? The bars look very similar as do the plates. If not, they did a really good job of making a knockoff.

    Phil Grippaldi

Lifting what I gather to be a 60's era York Oly set. The 45s are deep dish, but the other plates are not.

Lifting York Kg plates. The last images has some unusual York 25 kg bumpers.

Note the unitard and York Barbell Club t-shirt in the second shot.

I had them as a kid also, and as others I evenyually learned to hate them. But I'll bet they got alot of people into lifting since they were cheap and parents felt comfortable having softer plastic laying around the house.

Think of them as entry level, just like most of us started out drinking Schlitz, Old Milwaukee, etc.. I did and have since moved on to single malt scotches (occasionally )

Yes, so they must be older. I thought it was odd that there were no 25s in the piles. Just 45s/35s/10/5s.

Yeah, they're milled York 35s. "35" is counterclockwise, so probably 1970's or 80's.

I'm a total convert. I used to love going to the gym. Now given the option, I would much rather work out in my power rack at home.

I know this isn't the Jackson Barbell Club, but figured some of you may be interested. I have one last set of Jackson globes I am going to part with if anyone is interested, they are 65 lbs. I would also be willing to work out a trade for a set of deep dish York 45's. PM me for pictures if interested.
