York Men
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

http://www.amazon.com/York-Barbell-O...2722735&sr=1-1
I called York and they said they could send me a 300lb set (weight includes bar) for a bit over $450.00.

Two words: Allison Foreman. I strongly urge you contact Allison and get a quote from her if you are going to buy new. Her prices are the best.
These plates are cast, not milled, and rough. They are within 2% of stated weight. They are not made in the US.You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I have a York calf machine. Is that enough? . Its not pretty and I wish it had handles for the pads but its way better than the body solid one that had handles. The bar is on a swivel so the seat doesn't come down. So you are only using your calves. 50 pounds is plenty for it for now!

I still have a pair of these left after selling a pair to a craigslister that spotted them in my garage after purchasing other weight plates from me.
Just traded this to another forum member that will definitely use it more than I did.

All York, All the Time
All the plates on the rack are York Oly plates in pounds, the bar is a stainless steel York bar, the plates on the bar are York and the dumbbells are York roundheads. The dumbbells on the right belong to the gym owner's wife. You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

hey Atty, do you use flat paint on your plates? i've got around a thousand pounds of olympic plates, a couple hundred pounds of standard plates, and a couple pair of roundheads to paint this year.

You guys are making me jealous! I'd love to be part of the club, but all I have are 2 measly little 5 lb plates, and not even the good ones. I seem to keep getting beaten to the punch every time I see a nice set of deep dish plates pop up on CL. I live about an hour from York, so they do come up regularly, but I never seem to get to them in time!
