In! Side chick and my main b*tch:
Wheels are overkill on that bike, but I owned them before I bought it. It's rocky as chit/10 in AZ and I'd rather not risk screwing up the carbons that came with it. My buddy and I are planning a two week trip to europe next summer, hopefully going to bring the bikes and get some riding in, would be epic. I really want to buy a big bike and do more resort riding in the summer, I can get a pro deal/wholesale on a V10 so that's pretty damn tempting...Sun Devils - Cardinals - Suns - Dbakes - Yotes
"Yo, come on, we're Arizona State. They wouldn't give him (President Obama) a degree? Really? I mean, even if they offered him one, he should've been insulted. He'd be like, 'I went to Harvard.' I mean, come on, I barely went to class, and they passed me. It's Arizona [expletive] State!" - Terrell Suggs

Any UK brahs?
Looking to get in to DH mountain biking, live in north Manchester. Is there any decent places near by? I know about Philips Park but other than that, not sure where else to go.
Also, not sure how much to spend on my first bike and what kind of bike to even get? Don't wanna spend like 2 grand on my first bike, but also don't wanna buy a bag of chit. is there certain makes/brands I should look for?WRB :)

put in your budget there and start searching! let us know what you find and we can let you know if its good or bad... most of the bikes on the classifieds now a days are good ( more modern geometry and suspension tech )
and it would keep bumping this slow a$$ thread
went to Blue Mountain yesterday and it was tits!!! soo many sharp rocks i was just waiting to get a flat.. fully pinned though. real fun fast mountain

MTB brehs need some advice. Got into the sport a few months ago, and got a Trek Xcal 8. I live around the best tracks in Florida, which isn't saying much, but I enjoy it. However, I've gone through 3 wheels in the past 6 weeks....2 front, now today 1 back. I've had them replaced under warranty, but its getting old. Dunno how I feel about putting a good set of $500-800 wheels on a $1k bike. Wut do misc? Save for a new complete bike, buy new wheels, build my own?

This is what most trails are like: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tilsbDlPoYo
Single tracks, short climbs followed by short descents. This park is 15min from my house. Alafia is 20 min from home.
1 front was destroyed when I wrecked on a jump, another front I just felt it wobble a bit outta nowhere, and look down and its all bent. Back hub just started making bad noise outta nowhere. Will check out those wheels. Thx brehs

Sup brahs, never knew this thread existed, so IN!
Just go into MTB recently, such an awesome sport. I'm really passionate about the outdoors and previously have just been a hiker so this is like a natural progression.
I purchased a Cannondale Trail 6 29er, entry level hardtail. Didn't want to spend the big bucks when I'm just starting out. Got 29 inch wheels because I think it'll be better for standard cross country stuff... I don't plan on just doing MTB trails
This weekend I'm going on an introductory ride with a local MTB club, looking forward to it but also a bit nervous! I'm imagining a bunch of 30 yr old pro's with multi-thousand pound bikes~ Outdoor Recreation Crew ~
