    supplements and protien

    ive been workin my butt off hitting the gym about 4 times a week but i still feel if i rest for one day even im loosing muscle i try to stick to drinking protien shakes but its hard with my busy lifestyle... what other supplements and things should i be taken to really up my wieght?

    OK, I think you have one key mistake in your approach and, well-intentioned though it is, it is highly detrimental.

    No. OK? NO! Your muscles need rest time to grow.

    I'll say it once more because people told me this, but I did not "hear" them.

    Your muscles grow during their rest time, not while you're lifting. Recovery time is just as important as lifting hard and heavy. They are both *necessary*.

    Ya hear?

    You don't need supplements. You need to work on your diet.

    And I agree - you have an unhealthy attitude towards days off from the gym.

    Will you lose muscle from taking a rest day? Of course not... but you will absolutely lose muscle from not eating enough food. Your priorities are backwards...
