maybe pike. senko is mainly a bass lure, anything else would be incidental catch, you dont have to wacky rig them either.

could I put it on a jig head and fish the bottom and get walleyes?

a full size senko? maybe but it would have to be a really hungry walleye. youd be better off fishing with a twister tail or some 2-3" minnow imitator for walleyes.

I went out surf fishing this morning. Lady fish everywhere. Caught a few. They're surprisingly good fighters. Worthless fish though. Great bait. Cut one up for bait. It was awful though. Beach was smooth. Not a cloud in the sky. Had the whole beach to myself except for those god awful yellow flies. They were all over me the second I stopped moving. Also caught a small shark.

Got skunked at a river I killed it at last year, not even a bite.....went hiking through the thickest of woods to find shorelines to fish but most werent accessible....Had an epic camp fire cook out tho

booked this friday off, going to drive out the city and hit a lake not too far away....We had crazy flooding early this year and tho the water levels are good now the fishing seems off in the ottawa river :/

The fishing stuff in a Bass Pro store is far better than Cabelas. At least the ones we have around here.

This! BPS is the Mecca when it comes to a B&M Bass fishing tackle store. Don't have one here in MN yet. No idea why. The Cabelas around here is full stocked in the spring and then it seems like they don't restock the rest of the season. BPS is always packed to the gills.

So it looks like Im going camping this friday, going to be bank fishing. How can I rig a live worm in a way I can cast it with some distance.....split shots dont cast too far.....would a carolina rig work?

drop shot or carolina rig. use lighter line or better yet braid to get more distance. I use all braid on all of my rigs but tie a flouro leader directly to the braid as to not "spook" the fish.

depending on the technique yeah it makes a difference. its not just the fish seeing it floro leaders have better abrasion resistance and it behaves different than braid so your presentations are slightly different.

Nice work brah! One AOY is huge but to do it back to back is a big deal. Any thoughts of stepping up to the next level? TBF tournaments, FLW BFLs or Bass Opens?



Got out on the water after church for a few hours yesterday. This big girl smoked a hand made 1oz Football Jig with a Strike King Magnum Rage Bug, dragging across a hard bottom gravel hump in 8-10 FOW.

Fish weighed 5.26lbs

first salmon ever. tried last year 7 times. the year before probably 10. Today brought all my gear with me to go after work but decided to scout out a spot on my lunch break, literally left everything in the car except my rod, very unexpected!! This spot was even closer that where I planned to go after work. I didnt have to pay for parking. Also NO standing shoulder to shoulder with everyone else fishing. FISH ON BOYS!!!

damn what the rule of thumb generally? I guess with clear water I should add the leader....I have flouro but get lazy adding a leader lol.




@salmon brah ...fooooookn mirin, wish I knew how to start on catching salmon or even trout. How do you brahs learn their migration pattern.

I did go and camp out by the lake over the weekend. Fishing was slow, only 1 rock bass like 6 inches max lol. Had a blast though, perfect weather and cooked meat on the fire and thats always nice.
