I like that you replace a snack and one meal with your "cheat meal".. I will have to try that! Good luck in the challenge!!

What a typical Monday. I'm slammed with so much work. It doesn't help that I have my final paper due today. But with just a bit of juggling, I'm sure I'll survive today.

I changed up my meals and turned Meal #3 into: 1 c of spinach, 1 sweet potato, 4 oz of white fish, and an apple. Of course, I still took my BCAA, L-Carnitine, and CLA.
Meal #4 consists of 1 c. of spinach, 4 oz of steak, and 1/2 of a slice of pineapple (sprinkled with cinnamon)
Snack is a protein shake with 1 tbsp of peanut butter and BCAA, L-Carnitine, and CLA.
I'll be chugging down a scoop of Juggernaut.

    Then it's training time!

I prob won't be able to update my log until tomorrow so I can concentrate on finishing up my paper so I can ace my course =) Wish me luck!

But my lower part is my forte.

I'm so excited for you! The first time is the most intimidating. But it's also a lot of fun. There's a lot of great ladies to meet. Have fun in the process and you'll enjoy it anymore. Are you excited?!

How did you get such marvelous abs??? And you look AMAZING already. I'm sure you'll take home that trophy!!!
Excited! Definitely.. NERVOUS!! Ohhhhh my gosh yes! I do not count calories either, I was just curious to see if you did! I preach quality > quantity any day, screw the laws of thermodynamics concerning kcals lol. It is really hard for me to build my upper body as well... I'm kinda just tiny framed all around, but one day I'll be a big person... lol you and I have little people problems I have to tell you though, after a week of taking the Juggz I have seen more bicep growth than I've literally ever seen... I've never had quite the "bump" that I wanted LOL and now it's coming in How are you feeling after about a week now of taking the Infinite Labs supps- have you noticed a difference?
And whyyyy thank you! The 4C's: Carb cycling and cottage cheese ;-)

Do you compete figure or bikini??
Indeed, the quality of food is crucial. Especially when you get down to the leaning out stage during the final weeks and days prior to the competition. For example, which carb is better for you - brown rice or sweet potato. Sometimes it's a really tough choice when you crave variety. I think Juggernaut helped me with endurance. I always get stronger every time I do exercises that triggers the same parts. I've been concentrating on upper body so much that it makes me sad that I'm not as strong with my lower body. But I know that since I've started pounding on the lower body, I'll be exceeding my previous records. It's just a pride thing, I suppose when you're used to knowing how much you can lift and have to go down a bit. But of course - SAFETY first! It wouldn't do anyone any good if you end up injuring yourself because you went up too fast. One thing for sure though, when I started taking BCAA, I was able to "keep" my muscles. It was a big struggle last season because even when I ate so much protein, I keep losing my shoulders >.< It almost seemed that my quads wanted to keep all of the muscles so my shoulders couldn't have much. LOL!

The 4Cs? Can you please elaborate?

    I'm in figure =)

I was feeling really good regarding last night's training =)

We concentrated on the upper body.

    Barbell Back Rows
    45x10
    65x10
    85x10
    85x10

    Standing Military Presses
    20x10
    20x10
    25x10
    25x10

    One-handed single delts
    5x10
    5x10
    5x10
    5x10

    Rear Delt Flies
    20x10
    20x10
    20x10
    20x10

    One-handed Side Lat Cable Pull
    60x10
    60x10
    60x10

    Barbell Push Press
    45x10
    45x10
    45x10

    Wide-grip Lat Pull Downs
    80x10
    90x10
    90x10

High Pulley Pulldown using Lats and Locked Arms
    70x10
    80x10
    80x10

I used 2 types of threadmill - the normal one and the older version where you actually have to push back to start it. Switched both for a realy good interval cardio.

Ate Chicken soup with dumplings for dinner and took in my Vit C and Glutamine for supps.

This morning started out with my usual morning supps and Meal#1 - 4oz of fish, 1 c. of green beans, and 1/2 c. of brown rice.

I don't have as much appetite for today but have to force-feed myself because I'll regret it tomorrow otheriwse (Leg Day!).

I also updated my progress pictures. Disappointed that I can't see as much cuts but that's because I'm still early in the game for leaning out. But I'm really realy HAPPY to see that I'm actually developing muscles. I'm a lot better off than last season in regards to bulking up. So it's not as bad. I'm just very impatient to see the results. Guess that's what happens when you know what you look like when you're competition-ready! O.o

On a different note, yay for shoulders! I took a look at your progress pics, and even after a week you can totally tell the difference, however small it may seem.

I should be updating my pictures tonight, should be interesting to see how things go.

Question though- Why do you prefer (or maybe you don't, but I'll ask it this way anyway) barbell row vs dumbbell row?

I’m a full-time and freelance web developer, full-time student, and a figure athlete. I only started competing in figure last year so I’m still new in it. Ever since I was introduced to the world of weight lifting, I knew that I found my passion. There is just something wonderful about this feeling of being strong that keeps me coming back, and knowing that I’ll break my own records the more I train. The greatest part is helping and influencing others to also lead a healthier and fitter lifestyle.

This year, my fitness goals include increasing the size of my upper body, giving my lower body a more defined look, give my back much more definition, make my waist smaller, and bring home a trophy from an NPC LVL V competition. There’s going to be so much work to do. But it excites me to see the progress I’m making. Along with fitness goals for myself, I want to help 3 friends this year to reach their own fitness goals. It’s always more fun making strides when there’s company.

Upon reading the contest rules, I felt that Infinite Lab’s philosophy of having fun being a juggernaut, motivate others, and training is in-line of what I’m currently doing. I like what being a juggernaut stood for – “A Juggernaut is an unstoppable moving force that pushes past any boundaries. We will stop at nothing to reach our genetic potential.” Since I’m a go-getter and refuse to step down from a challenge, I'm really STOKED to enter.

I lift 2x a week with my trainer especially for exercises that requires me to grow my strength in such as squatting. Once a week, I do my “touch up” exercises such as chest, triceps, and biceps. My cardio consists of at least 30 min. cardio (but no more than an hour) 4x a week. I try to make cardio “entertaining” so I pick up some dancing or group exercises sometimes to mix it up. Who says cardio has to be boring?

My diet consists of 6 “clean” meals a day and 1 snack. I do my “cheat meal” once a week which substitutes a meal and a snack. My supplementation includes fish/flax oil, BCAA, glutamine, kelp, CLA, L-tyrosine, B-Complex, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E. I just ordered my Juggernaut and Infinite Pro 100% Whey Isolate with Infinite Labs. Can’t wait to try them!

It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as a Juggernaut. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how you become a real Juggernaut!
