diablo is a game that only just gets started once you finish the actual content

its not something you ever actually put down and say 'yep ive finished it'

This applies more to WoW than it does Diablo. Diablo has a very defined set of goals and once you finish them on the hardest setting the only things left to do are PvP and MF. MF is insanely repetitious and PvP is currently not in the game AFAIK.

You can finish the entire game without having to see anyone else. PvP right now is arena based IIRC. No world PVP.

Yes you level up with other people, very cooperative, but not the stupid 25 or 40 men needed to kill a boss. It isn't one big orgy of player like in WoW, you can create a game and apparently its now limited to only 4 players it used to be 8. PvP is then only with the 4 players in the game. Unless they changed it from D2 in which case someone else will chime in.

not really, i spend way more idle time in wow than i did in diablo. Once you finish current raid content everything is on farm, and you spend ~4 hours a week clearing the raid and then you have nothing left to do.

MF was the major part of the game for me. When the economy isn't ****ed, nothing beats the excitement of finding good items.

Didn't know you played d2. I was the biggest scammer ever in d2. I used to pop people all the time and **** and steal their items, go into random games and find peoples xfered items and steal all that ****, bot the fuk out of the game, etc. God I was ****in beast. Brb 99 blizz sorc, 95 hammer pally, 96 bone nec raping everyone/10. Prob won't even buy d3 because lack of pvp out of arena though. thats just ****ing gay

I never got to the point of botting but loved befriending a rich player then stealing all their **** when they wanted to x-fer in my games. My buddy had a 95+ javazon who would run fast as tits. We would drop scam people for days on end.. Im nostalgia all over.

anyways I think it sucks that there's less customization but I'm ****ing hyped for Inferno mode, I hope it will be some real hardcore **** and not just a difficulty level everyone goes through once you're done with Hell

speaking of hardcore, im kind of disappointed that HC will be left out of the RMAH deal. But it's understandable given there will be ****storms when people pay for items then lose them within an hour.

Like previously said, you really never beat the game. The best part about D3 is there is no waiting like in WoW. If you're buddies aren't on and you don't want to play with randoms, you can solo the entire game. There are advantages to group play though such as xp boosts. It looks like you can have up to 5 people in your world. PvP is said to be strictly arenas now. This seems bad, but at least it fixes hackers etc in hardcore. D2 hardcore had things like TP hacks where people were in your party, used your portal, hostiled you and either came back and killed you quick, or left things like traps active and hostiled you in town and killed you. A minor inconvenience in softcore, but a game ruiner for hardcore.

D3 I believe will be acts. There are quests and difficulties. D2 has normal, nightmare, and hell. D3 has an added insanity? difficulty. The producers have almost guaranteed that you will die. Once you're comfortable with the game and feel you've beat it, go play hardcore. Later on in D2, I didn't play anything but hardcore.

haha it's fukin hilarious how smart people think they are. I'd be leveling a new lowbie char and a high level would join our game randomly. We all knew he was just joining to do a trasnfer, so we'd leave the game and his chit would dissapear rofl.

I remember I was trading for a windforce and this cheeky kunt showed me the windforce in my trade window, and somehow was quick enough to swap it with an unidentified bow that resembled it. So I traded whatever it was for the windforce only to realize I was jipped.

it's cool though, I ran a pindle bot 24-7 during the summers while I was at work. My char could do a run in like a minute lol
