So had I paused on the first rep, would this be acceptable in a meet?

I am just going to going to a local meet here in Texas. It is NASA. They do require feet flat on the floor, and butt to be in contact with bench. I knew what to look for in the rule book once you guys gave me some feeback.
I think my ass may be a hair off the bench and I only had my toes on the ground. I will change up my form and see how it affects my lift.
Never powerlifted before, just watched "So you think you can bench?" by EliteFTS and tried to emulate, missed a few points obviously, but a work in progress. Those who are lifting the world upward and onward are those who encourage more than criticize.

I don't see where you guys see his butt coming off the bench...

Where in tyler do you workout? I live in flint as well. Competed in nasa a couple years ago. They will check under your suit for anything but underwear. They make sure your feet are on ground(not sure entire foot or not), i just always made sure mine were flat and didnt move. When you touch bar to chest and bar stops moving, they will give press command after a short pause. Some shorter than others.
As i get older I am realizing i have to get while the gettings good. I can put stats and PR's up here all day long. But, the main concepts with my workouts....
1. GO BIG OR GO HOME.
2. FORM IS EVERYTHING
3. BREATHE.

I'm pretty sure NASA allows heels off the floor. I lifted at a NASA meet last year and I recall not having my heels on the ground
