This actually happened to my brother. Met a cool girl who was overweight for several years, but the past couple years she took up running and is now really pretty and a total package.

I have met several girls that have potential (I am in the same boat myself..) but I always feel like I should lose the weight first and then go after the already thin/hot girl, but part of me thinks maybe I should be with a girl who accepts me at my worst. my girl is 5'6 and was 180 lbs. now she is 140 lbs and looks good. She still wants to lose another 5 or 10 so shes still working out and dieting. I just told her to work out every day and count calories and she actually did it so everything went better than expected.
