I'm not sure what's going on with me recently, I have some crazy anger inside on me and it's actually scaring me a little.
I'm on a 500 calorie deflict per day and training hard. I'm not used to pushing myself so hard but I feel fine with the diet apart from these anger issues.
Yesterday I was arguing with my wife over something I would normally laugh about and I ended up taking out on the door with no care of what damage I was doing to my hand. Today while I was driving some guy didn't give me way and was driving 2 miles an hour in front of me and I just flipped again.
The only thing that relives this anger is a good hard run on the treadmill.
Is it normal to be angry while on a deflict? Or is this all in my head? Maybe I’ll start my run early in the morning.
Any advice is appreciated.

One time my roommate ate my tuna salad that I had been planning to eat right after getting home from my work out and I nearly strangled him.
But then I went out and ate a brownie so it was all good. Some people just don't want to hear the simplicity of it all, because then there's no excuse when they fail.

My wife is definitely more agitated when hungry, it doesn't bother me at all so my guess is its got to do with the individual. I would make sure your getting enough sleep, play around with when you eat and workout to minimize being agitated around people.

I eat less than 40g of carbs a day (6 days of the week), and i'm a pretty relaxed guy. I do eat a decent amount of fat from nuts and stuff (I'm on a deficit).

Under 20g of carbs and I operate on 1500 calories in keto, but I don't have any emotional issues. If anything, I feel even more laid back then I did when I was on a normal low carb diet or no diet at all.
@OP. At least you're recognising that you're getting angry. That means that you can do something about it so it's not all bad news. Next time you feel yourself getting pissed, think about why you're cutting and what the end result will be (ie: you being in awesome shape). If that doesn't make you feel better, nothing will!!
Also, have a chat with your wife (if you haven't already). Let her know that you think that cutting is affecting you. Hopefully she'll cut you some slack if you get out of order again. Don't just try to hide it or deal with it alone - it's healthier if both of you are able to see if anything is coming.

Keeping my fats in the 70-90g range generally keeps me happier during a serious cut, gotta skew my macros around but its all about what works for the long run. Now that I think about it happiest I've ever been is during 4 week keto cut after a 12-14 week balanced IF cut. Diff strokes for diff folks I guess >.<
