Didn't lift today, up till 6 writing my scifi midterm. Killed it, though. Went to Northampton to buy a new phone, planned a trip to Herrell's ice cream while I was there. Only had like 970 calories until this point today, which was like 8 PM. I'm up to 2550 now =x Pretty solid. No waffle today.... but I did have a chocolate dipped waffle cone. Yeah, buddy.

    3/15 - Rest =(

    Eats

Anddddd my cookie dough/mint chocolate chip cone with some crushed kit kat on top:

So delicious. New phone means a few pics. Not sure if I'm bloated in these at all, don't really feel like it but I might be, took these like 2 hours after downing that chocolatey monstrosity. I need to get a hold of a camera that doesn't suck and take some pics. I'll try and do it next week when I'm hanging out with my photography major friend.

Lighting change? Shrug... same room, tried to replicate. I didn't start cutting until a week after this picture was taken, still eating a hefty surplus until this thread started.

    Tired. Night brahs.

Ended up getting a steak instead. And some peanut butter chocolate cake. Still didn't come out too bad, though my estimates might be a tad low. Planning on eating under where I have been for this next week... going to be staying with friends on a budget, gonna go shopping and buy straight egg whites and veggies, hah.

So its tough to log here (no internet hah) but it is incredibly easy to calculate macros and stay within them when im buying/preparing all of my own **** instead of estimating. Taking a break from logging til i'm back, keeping an offline record. So far im at 1370 cals on the day wth 10 oz of chicken in the oven and a bunch of awesome food waiting to be made. Glorious. Possible food porn in the not too distant future.

Oh yeah, chest and tris today. Got a free week at gold's. Score.

Awesome day. Felt really strong, maybe because I just took 3 days off for the first time since I was sick a while back.

    3/26 - CHEST & TRIS!

    Lifts

    DB Incline – 40 Warmup, 65 x 10, 75 x 10, 85 x 5, 75 x 9-10, 75 x 8-9
    Flies – 45 x 12, 50 x 11, 55 x 10
Seated Tri Extension – 75 x 12, 85 x 8, 85 x 7 - First set of these I knocked out like nothing, last set i banged out 5 like a joke then just lost all of my energy, hah.
    Close Grip Decline – 115 x 12, 135 x 8, 135 x 6
    Rope Pulldowns – 40 x 5 into 50 x 7, 50 x 5 into 40 x 4 into 30 burnout

Not too much volume today, had a tight time window before class. Buddy showed up late, just after my third set of inclines, hah. Looking forward to the rest of the week, awesome start.

    Food

Think I'm done using FitDay to calculate everything... don't agree with a lot of its nutritional facts, and the website just plain sucks as far as bandwith/speed limitations. Still keeping track of everything, though. Today's macros were:

    Cals - 2275
    P - 215
    C - 161.5
    F - 69

Finished the night with a bowl of frosted flakes. They really are fuking great. And my name is Tony, so that helps.

So i realized what i thought was a 4 week supply of fat burner is really 5 or 6 weeks worth, since i won't be taking full doses on workout days (not trying to go COMPLETELY overboard on caffeine/stims). Thus, took 2/3 a serving of Scorch this morning at about 12:30. Ate a small snack at 2, just took a scoop of assault at 3:50. Jacked up as **** right now. Hoping I don't pass out and die during squats. Updates incoming!

Felt ****ing awesome all day. Definitely going to be taking a stim break the day I run out of Scorch, but my tolerance/sensitivity is still in a good place. I feel like the fruit punch Assault just works better than the orange mango, also. Shrug. Strong ****ing lifts today, I ended up training my buddy immediately after I finished instead of logging them so I don't remember all of the weights 100%... PRs were hit, though. I assure you of that.

    3/27 - LEGS & ABS!

    Lifts

    Squats - Warmups, 135 x 10, 185 x 10, 235 x 6, 235 x 5 into 185 x 8
One warmup set of hamstring curls while I waited for someone on the extension machine - 110 x 12
    Quad Extensions/Hamstring Curls - 185 x 12/150 x 12, 205 x 11/170 x 12, 215 x 8 into 140 x 6/Burnout, forget
    Standing Calf Raises/Single Leg Press – 135 x a lot/6 plates x 8, 135 burnout/6 plates x 10
Abs **** (Decline Weighted Situps, Russian Twists, Leg Lifts)

    Macros

Macros don't match cals 100%. Think I overestimate the macros sometimes. Cals too, I just throw in an extra 10 if I have a mentos or something, estimate for leafy greens, etc. Somewhere around -

    2300 cals
    P - 224
    C - 167
    F - 90

Solid day. Didn't eat until about 2, and when I did it was like 250 cals. Didn't feel hungry, though. Had a bunch of Xtend this morning. Definitely interested to see how the full serving of Scorch affects me tomorrow. Might do a little cardio... questionable. We'll see how my legs feel. I've slowly and unintentionally made the transition to IF, I go for like a 9-10 hour feeding window though. I pretty much just eat really light / low carb for as much of the day as possible until after I lift. The bigger meals/treats later on are so worth it. If I can just manage to not binge drink and devour all of the food in my path for a few weekends I'll be golden, hah. It's been working really well with the exception of Saturday, but I figure one bad day for all of spring break aint bad. And my lifts are up, it seems. Awesome.

Another rest day =/ Back and Bis first thing tomorrow, siked as always. Took the full serving of scorch today, honestly feel the heat in my insides hah. Sort of weird, never had that feeling before. Burps taste like Atomic Fireballs, those cinnamon hot candies, for like an hour after taking them at least.

    3/28 - Rest =(

    Macros

    Cals ~ 2300
    P - 194
    C - 114

Solid day again. Took some good rest between sets of deads, took me a while to get through em all. Warmed up with 135, 225, 275, ample rest between warmups too. Not even worried whatsoever about my weak pulldowns anymore, getting stronger is not my priority right now. Though my deads and db rows are up this week =p I think the extra days of rest and the vacation really did me well. I'm definitely leaner, too. Feelssickbreh.

    3/29 - BACK & BIS!

    Lifts

    Deads – Warmups, 275 x 7, 325 x 6, 345 x 5 – straps – 345 x 6, 345 x 6
    DB One Arm Row – 85 x 10, 95 x 8, 105 x 6 (STRONG) into 75 x 7
    Wide Pulldowns – 60 x 9, 50 x 10
    DB Twist Curls – 40 x 9, 35 x 8-9, burnout
    DB Hammers – 55 x 4 into drop set burnout, 40 x 6 into drop set burnout

Just kept going down the weight rack on the last 2 sets of the day. 55 to 40 to 30, then 40 to 30 to 20. Doing random variations of curls for the last set, hammers, twists, straight ****, whatever came to mind.

Only at 300 cal so far, about to go eat some food and then sit through a 3.5 hour class... sick class though, the second half is a film screening. Watching Invaders from Mars and Children of Men. Thank god for movies and tupperware.

children of men is one of my favorite movies. you're watching that in a class? definitely jealous...what flavor XTEND are you using btw? I used to love the stuff back when it was the old formula, but the new stuff hasn't gotten the greatest reviews.

Science fiction film, badass class. I got a thing of green apple for like 36 bucks and i love it, i can see how someone would be turned off by it, tastes just like a jolly rancher. Seriously delicious though imo. Can be way more sweet/mild depending on how much water you use obviously so i don't really get it when people say it's too strong. Just finished dinner, comin in at like 1475 cal and 86.5 carbs. Decisions, decisions...

Just had a sick dessert to close out the day. Some straight-up generic ass vanilla ice cream I came into possession of, like 3 pretzels broken up, 1 kit kat stick, a smidgeon of pbutter, and some choco malt whey drizzle on top. Then a bowl of F Flakes. 470 cals, not too shabby. Can't ****ing wait to stock up on Arctic Zero though, definitely gonna buy like 6 pints and mix them up in this huge tub of mine with modest amount of the free candy i can get at work. Foodgasms galore on the horizon.

I noticed you mentioning working the heavy bag. Did/do you box, kickbox, martial arts or a combo?

And what kind of reaction do you get when you wear that IIFYM shirt?
I exercise for myself and no one else.

I used to do just boxing, I was even less flexible then. I haven't hit the bag in months but I really did love it, very tiring on your back/shoulders/core though if you're lifting heavy 4-5 days a week, so I chose the latter. Might do it for a few weeks again this summer, or just hit the bag for less time now and then. What I would do basically is just warm up with the basics, 10-20 light punches of jabs high and medium, hooks, crosses, never really bothered with uppercuts since I was just doing it for a workout and not a knockout. After that I'd stretch a bit more, then go in for either 2 or 3 minute rounds of varying intensity simulating an actual round or I'd do the 30-30-30 method, some **** I read about where you do a normal round for 30 seconds, then do high knees with alternating crosses at a high tempo for 30, then just slug haymakers for 30, then rest for like 60. I'd mess with the speed bag between rounds and sometimes throw in some random HIIT **** like burpees/wallsquats/ab work between them, too.

As far as the shirt, I've only gotten to wear it once, hah. I bought it, wore it, then went on vacation. Also, I wait until laundry is absolutely necessary to do it. That happens to be today though I think, so I'll be rocking it again soon and more often, haha. I didn't get any reaction from it that I noticed when I lifted in it. Wasn't really looking but I think I would have noticed. I'll let you know next time, hah.

Edit: Though I did see some brah with a MISC tank, let him know what was up with the classic head nod up. He laughed.

Pretty solid shoulder workout today. Finally used to fasted training, which is awesome. Makes it soooo much easier for me to stick to macros/cals when I've only taken in like 3-500 by the time dinner rolls around.

    3/30 - SHOULDERS & ABS!

    Lifts

    DB Press – 35 x 12, 60 x 10, 60 x 7, 60 x 5, 40 or 45 x 12
    DB One Arm Upright Rows – 45 x 12, 55 x 8, 65 x 5 into 40 x 8
    DB Shrugs – 85 x 11, 95 x 9, 105 x 6 into 60 x 8
    DB Standing Lateral Raises – 20 x 10, 20 x 11, 25 x 4 into 20 x 4 into 15 burnout
    Weighted Decline Crunches/Russian Twists
    Planks

Pretty sure the 60 x 10 is a PR but I'm not 100% sure, hah. Gonna try and go real heavy on these next time I'm feeling good and can get a spotter to help out with the last few.

Macros for the day are solid but low, on account of my buddy's rager tonight. Gonna try and not go too nuts, definitely not going to binge on food. Might have a few too many drinks. Only at like 900 cals so far though, with over 90g protein. Gonna go house some more tilapia and greens before I go out. **** was delicious.

Didn't go too crazy last night! Prob just barely over maintenance including the alcohol cals, like 3-3.1k. Busch Light tall boys, 125 cals. Glory of the college budget. Also factoring in the 2 poptarts i murdered before bed and the ounce or so of steak i tore into.

Hit up Ruby Tuesday today, favorite chain restaurant. Got the new orleans seafood plate with broccoli and cheddar mashed potatoes, **** was great. And of course the salad bar. I avoid croutons like the plague but the ones at Ruby are too ridiculously good. If you've never had one you're missing something magical. Stopped at this little store on the way back home and grabbed 4 pints of Arctic Zero, and some candy I can toss in with it. Only at 1280 cals on the day with 150g protein so far. Gonna try and go a little lower than usual today on account of last night and the fact that I didn't do anything physical today.

Feel stronger every time on the extensions/curls superset. Squats are staying relatively unchanged. Chilling out for a half hour or so before I go hit the dining common, coming in at 590 cal on the day so far. Hopefully they actually have chicken breast today =x Might opt for some tuna or something if not. Who knows, maybe they'll have something interesting that isn't fried in 3 inches of batter and grease.

Abandoned the waffles a while back, they got old fast somehow =( Newest kick is candy bars. I'm still eating mostly chicken, greens, tuna, cottage cheese, pbutter and eggs (because I love that ****) but I'm working at least one meal/snack that's traditionally unhealthy in every day. There are so many delicious candy bars! I've avoided them for so long, hah. Baby Ruth and Payday are both awesome new discoveries - to think I'm the happiest I've ever been with my fitness level, eating the most candy I've ever eaten since I started to lift. I love it. Tonight I also had an AWESOME idea; had a bagel for the first time in months, a french toast bagel. Used it as the bun for my fresh cooked burger with a little bbq sauce, onions, and swiss on it. Delicious. If you've never tried using a sweet, desserty type of bread like apple cinnamon (or a french toast bagel) with bbq sauce/onions for a burger you are seriously missing out.

Google and my head, Microsoft Word I guess, hah. I was using fitday for a while but i got fed up with how shotty the webhosting was. My school actually puts up nutritional info for all of the food they prepare, and i weigh everything in the dining commons/in my room. If I'm ever suspect of a miscalculation on their part I underestimate/recalculate based on my own knowledge.

Felt really sick last night, proceeded to eat 4 bowls of a Cinnamon Toast Crunch/Golden Grahams mix with whole milk to close out the night. Made me feel worse for sure, haha. Feeling better today... still skipped my first 2 classes. Whatever, got the homework done on time, and the first one turned out to be canceled anyway. Might take another rest day today, interested to see how deadlifts will be if I take more than 1 day off between squats and back.

Something about today felt off. Feels like I ate more than 2200 cals. Appetite was ruined today, not sure if it's lingering effects from feeling sick yesterday or because of the Scorch. Not a terrible thing, just sort of odd. My appetite's been declining anyway as the cut goes on, and as I make the transition into basically following the leangains 8/16 cycle. Hard to tell what caused it. If I know me, though, the appetite will be back tomorrow. Still feeling 100%, looking forward to rested deads tomorrow morning.

    4/5 - BACK & BIS!

    Lifts

    Deads – Warmups, 305 X 7, 325 X 6, 345 x 6 – straps – 365 x 4-5, 365 x 3-4
    DB One Arm Row – 85 x 12, 95 x 9, 105 x 6 into 55 x 8
    Pulldowns – 60 x 10, 70 x 5 into 50 x 7
    DB Twist Curls – 40 x 8, 35 x 10, 35 x 8
    DB Hammer Burnout – 55-40-30, 40-30-20

Not 100% sure on the numbers for deads but that's about right. Went too heavy for my last ones, just wanted to see if I could still do it. Pride hurts form, true statement. Gonna drop it down a bit next time. Nothing too bad I don't think... might have my buddy tape me next time I do deads though, just to be sure. Rows were STRONG today, I admit I just keep doing them instead of doing pendlay rows like I should because I feel like I excel at them, relative to other lifts. Once I start my lean bulk I'll be working in BB/pendlay Rows, I promise.

Sitting at 1070 cals so far, 124.5p. Hitting Hooters tonight for a buddy's 21st, hah. The plan as of now is to order the crab legs (300 cal, 61g protein, Wutttttttt?) and some baked beans (like 115 cal). After factoring in sauce and **** I should still be around 500 cals total. Gonna be good! Might grab some ice cream right now, I'm about to leave the dining commons. They've got cookie dough and mint chocolate chip right now. What's a brotha 'sposed to do? Will check in after Hooters.

EDIT - So I got up there and they were out of both flavors. Fuuu. All good, probably best not to indulge when I'm full, haha. Been having no problems with appetite at all, and I'm loving it. Still probably stupid to take advantage of that.

Lifted shoulders yesterday, not bad. Had a lot of help on the heavy set of presses, not going to lie.

    4/6 - SHOULDERS!

    Lifts

    Seated DB Press – 35 x 12, 60 x 10, 65 x 6 (spot help), 60 x 5, 45 x 10
    DB Reverse Flies – 35 x 12, 45 x 10, 55 x 5 into one arm 25 x 8
    DB Shrugs – 95 x 10, 105 x 8, 115 x 4 into 85 x 4 into 55 x 8
    DB Lateral Raises – 20 x 12, 20 x 10, 25 x 5 into 15 burnout

Pretty solid, no major changes. Went heavier than normal on shrugs I guess, felt fine. Stopped counting macros at about 1 AM when I started cooking up one of GP's cheesecakes, had a beer, etc. Don't think I broke maintenance, but eating a bit less today regardless. Might end up slugging beers all day to be honest, I'm home and my buds I haven't seen in a while might come by. I don't plan on drinking until my buddy Tim's birthday on the 27th, so screw it. The plan for the day is to cook all day; another cheesecake, some low carb 100 cal each mozarella stick, some meringue cookies with like no calories, some pound cake (most recipes newly discovered from sinorslim.com, pretty awesome, check that **** out imo) and to do some good old fashioned beer drinking. Possible ab work/cardio before that, we'll see. I don't have a gym membership at home right now so it's contingent on my buddy going.

    Alright, SO.

Didn't end up daydrinking, had 2 beers total yesterday, hah. Didn't count macros, but ate mostly protein. No lifts today or yesterday. Went out to eat with mom and grammy, got some baked haddock with squash/potatoes and lobster bisque. Passed on dessert. Not counting anything today either, but definitely coming in at or under my target. Headed back to school tonight, then it'll be back to business as usual. Can't wait to get back at it.
