As stated earlier he simply has not brought his best package to the Mr Olympia stage and Phil Heath has.
Also LMFAO at people thinking Evan can beat Phil/Kai this year...sorry but there is a big jump in level from top 6 to top 3/2. Can he in the future? Sure but so can many other...will he as of how he looks right now beat them this year? No. People forget not only is Phil/Kai literally complete to perfection but they also bring in amazing conditioning. Until Evan brings up his chest/back he won't be beating those two.

As a Kai fan I want to see him get at least one O before he retires. I do think it's politics to a degree, meaning that there are a lot of people in the bb organization that would always prefer someone else to win, and as long as he's not 100% dialed in, there is no political controversy. How much influence do those people have, if any, who knows. But at the same time if Kai can nail it in and bring that wow factor, he would be hard denied a win.
Yeah I was irked by that for sure. But then at the same time, Dennis Wolf, and Victor Martinez got the shaft too, and that "unprecedented" 10 man callout was another bs tactic to spread the top guys apart even more. So from that point they really weren't singling Kai out, but Wolf and Vic as well. It became less of a we don't want so-and-so to win, and more of a we want so-and-so to win.
Of course the winner was judged correctly. Phil Heath came in with the best package of his life, and nobody was going to beat him. Everybody else below between 3rd and 5th place was shafted one spot.

Kai's definitely a top 3 bodybuilder imo and my personal favourite but whilst his arms look great when he does the double bicep poses the shrink from most other angles when he stands next to Phil. His tricep poses in particular. Phil also has a much tighter waist and has a less quirky posing routine and overall look which sits well with the judges.
Kai is fukkin epic when he's oan tho. His back his biceps and just about every part of his legs are untouchable.☆☆☆υк ¢яєω☆☆☆

wrong on so many levels ... what did Evan place in the Mr. O's I can't remember. Oh he hasn't competed in one!
Yet you think he already has Wolf, Martinez, Warren, Cutler and Greene beat (none of which he has beat in a competition cept Wolf who beat him a few weeks later anyways...)
I like Evan and I think he has a good mind / good representative but he is not a top 3... prob not a top 5 Mr O contender IMO yet
