it seems as if the pain is concentrated in my tailbone area. It doesnt hurt when I touch the area but hurts if I attempt to move my hips/tailbone. There's also a tingling sensation down right below my left buttocks. The pain is not too great, more than annoying that really excruciating. Please tell me it's a muscle injury cause I dont' have insurance

Okay, don't be scared, but you may be suffering from a herniated disc. Although, honestly, I had similar symptoms as yours and it turned out I just pulled a muscle.
Do this test.
Lie down straight on your back, legs straight. Lift one leg up 60 degrees, then 90 degrees. Do the same for the other leg.
If you feel, at all, you have pain going down your leg, then you may be diagnosed with Sciatica.
Please tell me your results.

The best thing you can do now is see a physician. I can't diagnose you over the internet.
Like I said, I experienced the same things you had, and it turned it out to be a pulled muscle.
What I did was work on my lower back exercises. I did this after 2-3 days rest.
What **I** would do is take some time off, go back to the GYM, and start with hyper extensions. if pain, tingling, pins and needles occur anywhere in my lower body, that's a signal to stop and go find a doctor.

Sounds disc related, but minor. Google McKenzie Method, good movements for getting disc back in line. (I had a full blown rupture 10 weeks ago...it was pure nightmarish hell for 5-6 weeks.)
Don't press your luck until you are pain free....learn a lesson from me (im hoping to be in the gym before July now)The Dark Knight...Rises.
