Setting up a 40 gal reef as we speak. No pics. Its the ELOS MIDI system. Will be LPS dominant with some SPS corals. Clown with Anem is a must for me. Tank looks good but could use some more rock especially if you plan on more coral and for better filtration. You using a sump, skimmer, dosing? Also what are the lights? Like the blue green chromis, great shoaling fish. That yellow tang helping with the hair algea or cleaning crew? Could get away with a butterfly in there if algae is an issue but looks pretty well stocked with fist as they all look small right now. Salt water is alot of work and even more with coral but it is very rewarding. Can't wait to get some livestock in mine after the cycle. Setting up a Discus tank at work too!!!

Go to reefcentral.com and you will see tanks 5x's the size of a 180 and they aren't CEO's or anything. It's actually really easy to maintain and the more water volume you have, the easier it is. A large live rock and fish only predatory tank would be easy for a large tank. Coral is where it gets expensive because of lighting and water quality issues.

^^^ What Drufeus said , and yeah Corals are expensive as fukk over here some 200$ + but they really are beautiful.
Yeah tank def needs more live rocks , but over here it's about 10$ per pound... i know the guy so i get it at 7$ but still costly. Not planning on adding anything else to the tank beside maybe more cleanup crew and a blue light and live rocks , Yeah that Yellow tang is def helping with the algae ! My corals aren't really hard corals to keep so don't need some awesome light's for em and not planning on getting harder ones but some corals are just omfg so beautifull..... maybe later in time when i have more money , but yeah tank is pretty full as far as fish the tangs are still small. Bet you can't wait for that cycle to finish up and start it eh ?
Nice bro , did you have saltwater??? Cause the maintain ain't that bad for saltwater tanks... just some quick water change and add some salt , clean filters... takes me about 1h a month tops with the gf helping.***Canadian Crew***

I'm actually running an ATS (algea turf scrubber) as my main filtration other than live rock. Something you may want to look into if you get algea problems down the road and they are an easy DIY. So that will shorten my cycle by a ton. Good place to find cured live rock is on craigslist as many people are always taking tanks down can get it cheap with some bonus zoanthids and stuff.

How much really depends on the tank size , and no why would it require piping? You usally feed them everyday but you can buy a autofeeder if you ever you are going away for couple days at a time
Got a filter for a 110g , Almost bought the 150G one but figured the 110g was enough and never had a problem with it. Using 3 Power jets too.
Thanks bro***Canadian Crew***
