Go to you nearest Google Machine and enter "calories in chicken."

30 calories per oz. with 7.6 grams of protein. Multiply those by 8 for total of 240 calories and 60.8 grams of protein.

Google was mentioned..do that for all the foods you eat and create a list with carbs too. evrytime you introduce a new food into your diet, put it on the list. That will make things alot easier.

A google search has some websites saying it is as high as 58 calories in one ounce of chicken breast (skinless), and others saying it is as low as 30 calories per ounce. Big discrepancy. Who's right?

Alot depends on how its prepared, did you take all the skin off of it and bake it in the oven? Or coat it in butter and breadcrumbs and fry it up? Drench it in lemon butter sauce? Marinate it in BBQ sauce? Or open a can of already cooked chicken breast?

All these methods can change the nutritional value of your food.
