Hi Joe, thanks in advance for taking time out to help others. I am trying to carb cycle, what it has been looking like for me is day one- 4-5 meals with carbs(red potato or rice) day 2 has 3 meals with carbs, day3 has 2 with carbs and 4 has some only with post work out. Problem is I work a physical job- I work on semi's. So day 4 I almost fall out.

Wondering if it is just better to stay with a steady medium carb level?

I work out 4-5 days a week, have been doing 20-30 minutes post work out cardio on treadmill. Right now I am 6'2", 265lb.
journeys all have obstacles, we all face them, we find out who we are when we continue the journey and not quit.

Hi, Carb cycling will work only if its done right after you reach a certain conditioned look, it needs lots of attention and monitored especially if you have a very active job, do to the amount of work activity for the day will play a role on how much carbs/cardio will be needed or subtracted to be effective,(example;too little carbs on a busy day at work can trigger you to burn more protein/muscle for fuel if your looking for that hard core work out) if you have a friend that has a good eye and is knowledgeable, he will be able to give you feed back, it can work great,...Try it, experiment with it, take note along the way on how your body reacts ,how your body feels and looks on your low days, adjust accordingly and tweak....After a while you will learn to zero in on your carb cycling gto your needs....good luck, train safe...im here if you need further....

A common feature of aging that contributes in part to physical dysfunction is a slow but significant decline in muscle mass, especially high-quality force-contracting muscle fibers, beginning as early as the 40’s and 50’s.

hmmm he also appears to be rather short for his age so would carry less weight than an average 13 yr old. looks like he has the height of a typical 9-11 yr old. he will be impressive once starts a growth spurt.
