    Question about activity level

Ok, before I get slaughtered, I've read the above stickies e.g. Emma's post on calorie and macronutrient calculation, however, I have a question.

I am not quite clear on how to calculate my activity level. All the online calculators have very broad "definitions" of the activity levels and I don't want to over-estimate my consumption as I am trying to cut. (bodyspace not updated)

    I'm 6'2ish" and 210 pounds, 21 years old.

Using the sticky above, I choose an activity level of moderately active (32 kcals x kg) and get a rough maintenance of 3000 cals. But the ranges are so broad! I could go anywhere from 2900 to 4000 calories in the same category.

Here is my weekly activity: I am training 4 times a week with 20 minute cardio post session at least 3 times a week (either treadmill (7mph), stationary bike, swimming). I walk on average 15-20 minutes daily and otherwise sit in class/home/etc. And I carry a big ass gym bag with me on gym days lol. (gym close to school...me far away.)

I'm not asking you guys to do the math for me, just give me a hand in choosing the right activity level.

    Thanks for the help!

Pick an activity level (any) and it gives you a total estimate. It's just that, an ESTIMATE. Monitor weight gain/loss and adjust from there

As alwaystryin said. trial & error will be the best way to find out how things are going.
