New to this website but this is the first thread I have read and can relate to straight away, I have a 18 month old daughter a wife who is a teaching assistant, but is undergoing treatment for a slipped disc, and I'm a member of the British army is busy in my house, and trying to explain the importance of nutrition often goes out the window in all the chaos

Well it's about time! Did your summer pass as quickly as mine? I always think that summer is too short. Winter lasts for freaking ever here. I already dread these cool mornings and earlier sunsets.

Thanks. A few weeks ago I had come down a little too quickly on squats and strained it. Then last week, since it seemed to feel much better, I went ahead and did some deadlifts and strained it again. It's my weak point since I just began doing them earlier this year .... going to keep it stretched out and take it easy on the deadlifts for a few weeks or so until it gets healed up.

Yeah shift work sucks and 12 hr shifts suck even harder lol. I will get some work done I suppose, but the quieter here the better...that's when we know we've had a good day

It will start to get hectic in about an hour. Good thing I work out or i wouldn't be able to lift these ummm...hefty...patients.

Thanks. I began lifting about 16 years ago with my husband but it was 5 years ago when I started training on my own because i wanted more than what his workouts had to offer. How about you?
