I believe countering a troll is very educational to many other lurkers or posters here.

Most people out there are so uneducated on the matter that they might appear as trolls to all of us. So whatever stupidity a troll may come up with, it's pretty much guaranteed that many lurkers here have thought the exact same things.

Can't hurt to put old myths and stupid arguments to rest once again.

Regardless of how hard the OP is (probably) trolling, right from the start the first posts in this thread were solely meant to put him down.

In defense, if the OP's intention was to create a legitimate thread, I'm sure he wouldn't have instigated it further by simply having an intelligent debate instead of ignoring requests of peer-reviewed research backing up his claims and using semantics and avoidance as his defense.

I'm finishing off this semester for my B.S. in Nutrition... Everything I've learned is either useless, impractical, inapplicable, or false information used to stir the brainless mass. The only thing worthwhile were my advanced metabolism classes, because you can't really butcher that...much.

Have learned much more via these forums, personal research, and experimenting on myself.

School =/= Anything at all. It's safe to say that 85%+ of my classmates have NO idea about what they're talking about, let a lone are able to talk about nutrition without looking at their notes or books.

Until you're a practicing RD, there's not too much value in your knowledge, and even then... misinformation seems rampant.
