    Thumbs up Supersets

I wanted to mix it up this week so I'm trying some super set exercises yesterday was back bis, tris and abs today was chest and shoulders. These are no joke I wanted to go out and drown myself in the snow after these workouts I was so beat. Anyone else train in a super set style? If so what are your favorite exercises?

I like to superset arms. Barbell curls at a challenging weight for ten reps then go right down to the pulldown station and hit 10 reps there. That is one set. I do four sets and my arms are beat. Works best when it's not peak hour at the gym or you have your own setup with no one to share the machines with.

I superset nearly everything I do for time reasons. I superset unlike bodyparts most of the time in order to allow the one to rest since I don't incorporate much rest.

Oh that's a good idea! I found I was having to lift lighter because my arms were exhausting quick! I got some super set ideas from jamie Easton's live fit trainer phase three. For example one was super setting incline dumbbell press and overhead dumbbell press 15 reps / 3 sets it was tough and I found I wasn't able to lift what I normally would with those exercises and keep good form

I also do supersets for time reasons also. It can be a pain when the gym is crowded because anything empty is fair game for someone to jump on but it becomes more of a problem with certain machines. In the weight room, most of those people don't sit/stand at a station in between sets so it's easy to work in with others. I typically do opposing body parts, say a set of chest, then a set of back, or a set of bis, set of tris.
