Bacon and Bison DEEP DISH PIZZA

FINALLY a way to enjoy one of the most popular fattening dishes of all….pizza! This low carb deep dish pizza is as close to the real thing as it gets! With the only carbs coming from the marinara sauce, this is the ultimate keto meal that is ideal for anyone on a low carb diet! Iv’e tried various forms of low carb pizza recipes from using cauliflower for the pizza crust to tofu for the pizza crust and this is the best deep dish low carb pizza recipe yet! (I will be making a thin crust pizza using cauliflower soon enough so stay tuned!) This crust is made with cheese, cream cheese and eggs and no it does not taste the least bit eggy! You can feel free to choose your toppings of choice but the bison and bacon combination I used was a hit!

    Ingredients:
    4oz Cream Cheese
    3 Eggs
    1/3 Cup Heavy Cream
1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese (I used a parmesan and romano blend)
    1/2 tsp Oregano
    1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
    1 Cups Mexican Cheese Blend
    1/2 Cup Marinara Sauce
    1 Cup Mozzarella cheese
    4oz Ground Buffalo
    4 Strips of Bacon

    Directions:

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

    2. Beat together cream cheese and eggs in a bowl

    3. Add cream, parmesan cheese, and spices and mix again.

    4. Spray a circular pan with non-stick cooking spray and sprinkle the Mexican cheese into the dish

    5. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese

    6. Bake for 15 minutes and let stand for 5 minutes (while the pizza is in the oven, cook and crumble the buffalo and bacon)

    7. Spread on pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese buffalo and bacon

    8. Place the pizza back in the oven and bake until its bubbly and browning (about 15 minutes)

    9. LET COOL for at least 10 minutes before cutting. Patience is a virtue! If you cut it while its still too hot youll have a mushy and messy pizza!

The heavy cream amount is different in the recipe posted here than the one in the sinorslim site. also, heavy cream has carbs but those weren't counted in the macros.

I made it though and it is great, gonna make it again today but I can't remember how much heavy cream I used.

    Repped.

    this pizza is wonderful
I've made it a few times now, and usually the cream cheese/egg layer is quite thick.
this morning, I didn't put the layer of cheese on the bottom, and I only used (half the amount of )cream cheese, eggs, parmesean and herbs & spices for the 'dough'.
It was much thinner and I acutally prefered it.

This recipe is AMAZING though, I usually top it with bacon/ground beef/onions/mushrooms

Do you have any pics of a slice of the pizza cut out and on a plate? I'd like to see the texture of the crust.

I tried a califlower (not going to attempt to spell that correctly) crust and was NOT impressed... not even slightly. I'm still searching for a reasonable substitute for a bread crust.

Nope I didn't take a pic when it was on the plate BUT I can tell you it's MUCH better than the cauliflower crust. I've made the cauliflower pizza before and it wasn't bad but just very very thin. This one is at least 50x thicker

It was SOOOOO delicious!!!! My husband liked it, too. (He's not on Keto and is very skeptical of some carb "substitutes"). I can't wait to make it again and try different topping combinations!!

I will definitely be trying this recipe. Your pics look amazingly delicious. Where do you get buffalo meat? I haven't seen it locally, but then I haven't looked either.

double the recipe, used gras-fed beef instead of buffalo, added spinach. hardest part was wisking in the cream chz.

This was amazing!!! Very easy to make, and so flippin' delicious!

Just one question, the macro nutrients you listed were per slice? How big was the slice. If you have a rough idea of how many grams per slice that would be wonderful.

    Thank you again!!

I think so. It might just be a little thicker. Try microwaving the whipped cream cheese a little so it melts. Let me know if it works!
