    Hanging vertically increases height?

    i went to my general physician so that he could checK weither my grown plates were open or closed, my growth plates are open according to the x-ray. I asked him if i would grow 2-3 inches he said that i would continue to grow my height till the age of 21 and told me to hang vertically from a bar for a few minutes daily. Have any of you ever heard of this and does hanging vertically increase height?

    If you wanna get taller eat more stuff like milk cheese etc and vegetables. When I was younger and taller than most of my friends at my age they asked me how to get taller and i told them to eat vegetables and they laughed at me. While 6 foot 3 isnt very tall im still taller than most people and ofc my friends who are manlets now

    Actually not true, from what I was told in my first year of Uni it is about 50% genetics and 50% diet. So there is a height you could reach providing your diet is good enough.

    milk and cheese yes, but idk about the vegetabls, i rarely eat them and only eat a few (green beans, peas, corn, potatoes) and i'd say being 6"7 is pretty tall, but genetics can go back a few generations, I'm taller than both my parents by 3+ inches, but apparently had a great grandpa that was around my height, so gotta look way back in the gene pool!

    Height is mostly genetic. You can perhaps gain half an inch to an inch by having better posture, drinking alot of milk,etc but it won't really go beyond that.

    ^ This. Your height potential is predetermined but environmental factors effect whether you reach that potential. basic nature vs nurture effect on growth. You cant force yourself to grow without surgeries that have been done that just like, break the shins, add a metal beam to elongate them and waiting for them to heal, not recomended haha, but you just cant grow by hanging upside down, it temporarily decompresses your spine creating a greater space between your spinal discs, but as the day goes on the become compressed again from upright posture, hence why you are taller in the morning than in the afternoon

    Hi, as u said milk, cheese and vegetables will help to increase height, I am 27 years old and my height is still 5'3 since I was 14 years old. Do you think if I prefer those food items and hang everyday, it is going to increase my height? Can u also please say what other food items I must eat apart from what you mentioned? Thank you.
