I honestly do not even max on squats any more. My working sets typically range in the 5-10 reps range and I'm squatting ATG. I can really tax my legs with quad and ham extensions.

I'm not trying to get ANY injuries and checked my ego several years ago.

ive been doing a lot more front squats simply because its much harder and i can use less weight.

but i dont feel **** in my legs if i dont do either front or back squats. i can do 5 sets of leg press walking lunges etc and they wont get sore at all.

I never did front squats because of an old clavicle injury. The bar just don't feel right up there

ive been doing it a new way. wrap your wrist straps around the bar and use them as handles. there is a vid on youtube showing it...good trick makes it much easier to hold and rest it on your delts.

From what I remember Chris Lund encouraged Jean to go that heavy, just so his pics could have more authenticity to them. I always felt that Lund was to blame for this.

Here he is, advertising a new Swiss whey protein, "Old-School-Protein":

in this vimeo video at 03:33 he is refering to the injury that ended his career

I really like his Swiss-English accent. Indeed he must be a cool, nice guy.
