Let's start a campaign that singles out ALL people unemployed. Because everyone that is unemployed is lazy and its their fault. It has nothing to do with factors outside of their control. Just like being overweight and obese has nothing to do with heredity or socio economic status. Let's have real pictures of unemployed people with ‘I am worthless’ or ‘I am just a lazy piece of crap’. Childhood obesity really is disgusting and god knows it's not healthy. Besides, we have all experienced the whales that are in denial. I don't think the campaign will do anything as fatties know they're fatties on SOME conscious or unconscious level and either don't care or are too undisciplined to make a change (not including the 1% who actually do have a medical condition)

Yeah, which is why I wish healthcare was privatized altogether so individuals would not have to face the ramifications of others poor lifestyle choices.

We either respect civil liberties and try to find a free-market solution, or avoid them altogether and dispense with the pretenses of freedom.

Initiate a nation/state-wide fitness program. Incorporate National-Guard and volunteers into nation building projects. Heavy taxation on specific foodstuffs - i.e unhealthy . Would destroy industries for sure, but the market adapts. Make national service compulsory for all students - either applicable part time over a period of 4-6 years whilst studying, or 2 years continuous. This paid workforce would be put to work in creating infrastructure w/ the private sector, opening the way for USEFUL technical knowledge (vocational and trades, as opposed to liberal arts degrees), as well as laying the foundation for a technology-oriented society tomorrow.

Fat people don't effect you / smokers don't effect you, nurses have jobs taking care of the smokers in the COPD ward and the money still circulates in the economy -- the anti-smoking/anti-fat people is the goverment and largely liberals who think of you as a "human resource" instead of a free citizen. IE your value is determined by how much money you're worth, 'fit' people are worth more money to the government, so therefore the government needs to do what it can to make fat people fit
