DAY 1 BOOTCAMP REVIEW
I have to say last night was not as scary as thought it would be lol. Still tough but not murderous. There were a couple girls there from the bootcamps I was in, in the summer so it was nice seeing them again. They said they had wondered where I was...awwwww. One of the girls asked where I had been and I explained that one of the gils (who wasn't there alst night) had joined with a bunch of her friends and they would just talk during the workouts and it drove me NUTS! Plus the girl that brought the friends annoyed me lol. It must have been my female, competitiveness, gheyness....lol
Onto the work out:
Warmed up with jogging on the spot, high knees, butt kicks.
Got our hand weights and for time (1:00 each) and continuously we did shoulder press, bicep curls then alternating bicep curls
Then we did walk out outs for time (:30 i think)
Burpees (:30)
back to bicep curls, shoulder press & alt. bicep curls (again for time & continuously)
Split lunge (or squat) with weights for time (1:00) then did other leg (legs were width of yoga mat width wise)
wall sit (1:00) KILLLEEERRRRRR after doing squats
Split lunge (or squat) with weights for time (1:00) then did other leg (legs were width of yoga mat width wise)
wall sit (:45) a bit "easier"
standing over yoga may still....jump squats for time (1:00 i think)
the second half was push ups, planks, abs and yoga moves that still were definitely challenging but made the class not so intimidating for the newbies. I think she took this approach because in past bootcamps there would be who joined who had NEVER worked out a day in their life and would get so intimidated they never came back lol.....not great for business. She said as each week goes by it will ramp up. I am meeting with Angie at 8 this morning to get more butt kicking...oh goody
I will have another review after tomorrow's boot camp - Body RipJournal but the 2020/2021 ed. ---> https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=141049421

Good stuff, chick! Looks really challenging. Love the names of your workouts!
Had a bunch of chicks chatting it up in spin last week. Unbelievable. It was annoying. Hard to get into it when you hear people talking about what their cousin did or their neighbor got ...

Wow... that does look like a killer workout. And that's the "easy introduction?"
You know... I have a feeling following your journal is going to remind me of just how bad my cardio/endurance training is lacking!!"The LORD is my Strength and my Song, and He has become my Salvation! This is my God, and I will praise Him, my Father's God and I will exalt Him!" - Exodus 15:2

The names scare me ha ha but I like them too
Yea when people talk during a workout class is drives me crazy!! I htink it's so disrespectful to the instructor and clearly they aren't working hard enough if they can have a conversation!!! And they were talking about recipes, neioghbours i dunno but it annoyed me!
LOL YES! My butt hurts and where my shoulders meet chest which is really my chest (I had a kinesiology lesson this a.m. lol) and my quads
LOL the first half was more intense....when I saw her this morning she said she changed it b/c a few of the girls were just standing there because they were dying...so she made it a tad easier...but it was still a workoutMy cardio SUUUUUUUUUCKS!!!!! lol This will help it FOR SURE. On my off days if I want to bump it up a bit I can do an Insanity workout at home which is basically all plyo reatrdedness....hence the name lol.
Get to it Sean!!!! Chop chop!!!
************************************************** ***
Met with Angie this morning....she had no mercy lol!!!! We did chest and cardio...cardio seemed better....maybe I am a morning working out person? My chest/shoulders were tiiiiiired so a couple times I would do something and just fall flat (face down) was pretty funny. When I was doing stability ball pull ins (for abs) don't know what to call them??? I fell over a few times near the end....I am the LEAST graceful person you will probably meet....so glad I don't have an interest in ballet!!!!! Laughs were had but I was sweating like a dude and my chest/shoulders are still tired...even more so....tomorrows boot camp will be INTERESTING!
