whats up guys, finally gettin back in the gym after the lay off, i lost about 8 lbs but i know it will be back fast, when im back 2 my previous measurements, ile start dieting.
anyway, i got my first job bouncing! but i really feel i dont look the role, in clothes i just look like a fat midget.
so you be the judge, do I look like a bouncer 2 you? keep in mind im 5'5, i honestly think alot of guys arent going 2 take me seriously, especially with the liquid courage. actually a guy was gettin tough with my last night, because he was asked 2 leave.
general rule-when your so ****ed up you light a cig backwards and smoke through the entire filter, its time 2 cut down! haha

hey tank! good to see u around buddy, I always look forward to your posts! thats wikid the lay off is over, u recovered 100% now?
dont worry u will bounce back in no time, just keep everything solid.
and congrats on yo bouncer job!hehe, awesome, man u definitly look the part. stocky intimidating guys like you are the best for bouncer jobs. Also cos u have more of a solid base and leverage than taller guys. plus, trust me, you do not need to be tall to be intimidating. ur mass makes up for it anyway.
true though, I can see why you ask, because a lot of people have the misconception that you have to be a "great" fighter to be a bouncer, when in actual fact you have to be "freindly intimidating" and know how to treat people. good luck bro
p.s. I pm'ed up a while back (after asking if i could pm you) but I dont think you ever got round to replying, but thats OK i know your a busy guy. is it ok if i try again soon?
peaceKill me. You must. For I will not stop.

Indeed you do... although height is very important for intimidation, at a certain size i don't think it matters.
Offtopic but recently I was asked to be a bouncer at a local club (www.bananajoes.com) but then he asked my age... i had to say 16 couldn't lie because I can't even drive yet so what's the point. He said he might be able to get me in but it's strictly against the rules.
That is one of the jobs I really want to be though, but what he said is a good complimentEternal Creatures are not so prudent.

I'm a crowd controller amongst other things & I'd work with you anytime.
It was just sick how big you were in some of those other pics.
It'd take a very foolish person with a lot of grog in them to try to take you on ... keep slabbin on the muscle though & even that denomination of idiots won't!Last edited by jay81; 06-29-2003 at 04:20 AM.

Your a friggin tank.. I am also a bouncer and im 6'2" but i wouldnt want to be the sorry ass drunk that tries to get uppity to you.. height helps somewhat for the initial intimidation but thats about it... with your build and those guns you will have the intimidation factor once you grab onto the guy lol.. as long as your tough as nails you will do great as a bouncer..

I'll be honest with you, most people will probably be intimidated by you, but vs anyone would a knowledge of fighting.. you would be a joke =/ so yea you are suitable for a bouncer
Yeah, like Tank Abbott is gonna go to his bar or something??
He is big enough to be a bouncer. You dont have to be a fighting pro to take out DRUNK people.

exactly bro, that's the main point. they thought you were good enough to hire, and obviously they know what they need, so I wouldn't worry about height. I'm a bouncer too and I'm only 5'10", we have one guy who's only 5'6" and he's huge too and he never has problems with anyone.
you'll do fine bro. nice to see ya back here.. PM me sometime.
disclaimer:that was a joke, i have no intentions of shooting any bell canada representitives...
cerbinator, cool..thanks bro, will do..
i was approached by the bar owner at the gym, when i had a full pump goin...unpumped in a sweatshirt i seriously dont even look like i work out, ive got 2 start working my neck, its probably 14 inches.
im starting 2 like the job alot...theres the occasional drunk bastard who wants 2 start something, but 98% of the time im just sitting on my ass sipping a protien shake. i had ta shoot down a couple of under age chicks at the door tonight, i feel bad doing it because a little over a year ago, i was that underage kid trying 2 get into the bar...ah well, i have to do my job...
so far the only people ive had problems with are old drunks. a guy i had to ask to leave tonight told me walmart was having a sale on razors that i should go check out(making fun of my beard), i told him he should really reconsider mouthing other peoples appearance, when his 4 front teeth are missing..hahaha, only in brockville ontario.
anyway, thanks again guys

i have fighting experience, I havent been in a street fight since i was a kid, but playing hockey in canada for years, you learn how 2 throw em, haha...i was always good at wrestling and **** too...
and yeah, the fact that the people im dealing with are totally mangled gives me a little advantage also..its alot harder 2 throw punches when you cant walk a straight line.
