    Hey man.
Did you mainly learn to do your oly lifting at the xfit gym or did you find some solid tutorials somewhere?

I've snatched before, but my form is garbage. I'd like to learn how to do them.

Well I live near muscle driver and I took a weekend seminar w pendlay and his team so I'm "pendlay certified". Whatever that means ha. All the guys at the xfit gym were too so it's really been trial and error since then. Wades been helping me and I've done it enough now that I can recognize what I'm doing right and wrong.

Cal strength has some good vids as well as barbell shrugged. If you want to send me some vids I'll take a look as well

Thanks man. I'm looking at some barbell shrugged videos now. Having the most trouble with catching the bar in a squat position. My mobility doesn't allow for a good OHS right now. I"ll film some sets soon and send them your way, I appreciate it.

Invest in a coach...doesn't have to be monthly...get a session for snatch, and CNJ and then drills

I have competed and getting a coaches eye on me has helped not only my lifting but, has helped me with vision on what other's are doing and how to help them as well.

It's pricey for one on one but, I assure you, it's well worth it.

That's something I'm going to look into in the future if I decide I want to get into oly lifting.
Unfortunately I'm getting laid off at the end of the month, so I'm not trying to go all Anthony on a coach at the moment.

Catalyst athletics is also a good resource. Pick up Greg's book and DVD. Extremely worthwhile.

I appreciate it, Wade. I'm going to try a few more tomorrow, I'll get some videos.

I've sent my resume to quite a few places, I'm hoping to get a few more interviews soon, got a few leads.
They downsized at work, and I unfortunately got caught in it. I don't plan on being jobless for more than 2-3 weeks, I can't sit still that long.

I'm debating getting back into some type of competitive lifting next year, if that happens, I'll be in touch.

Thanks man. I'll look into it.

Did you have the most luck learning from the top down? I'm doing them from the hang position right now.

Good luck man. You'll find something. I only have a hard copy or I'd shoot it to you. I read it over and over. So much useful info. DVD is perfect for visual learning. Lots of drills.

Hang is a good place to start. Position 1 is still the hardest for me as you have no momentum from the floor. My biggest issue is finishing the second pull before gettin under. You know immediately when you miss it ha.

hey gang.. updating here even though 99% of my followers get them via our group text..

found a pretty sweet pl/strongman/oly gym near me that i can use in addition to my home setup to really focus on oly.. pretty excited about it.

currently finalizing a program i'll be doing but for the time being just kind of getting accustomed to multi day oly lifting in addition to my saturday barbell club at my old xfit box.

worked some complexes up to a heavy set

snatch pull + snatch + oh squat
finished at 135. missed 145 on the recovery.. this is close to my max of 155 which i feel confident is low.

    145 miss - damn my 2nd pull

clean pull + clean and jerk
finished at 215 which felt the best of all.

some light shoulder raises to finish out..

Oly movements are starting to look really solid in here. Are you going to compete in that now or is it just something you enjoy?

Goal will be competition at some point. Main focus is oly for a while to really hone in.
