    You'd be amazed. Problem is that the Twins are spouting a lot of nonsense which is very popular around Fitness/bodybuilding circles. So most people will only get confirmation from them, to the things they've heard already. Bull**** supporting bull****. If enough people promote bad advice, it will stick. And it has.     Also they are not nor do they claim to be experts in nutrition or exercise they just choose to share what has worked for them. If I were allergic to shellfish and my doctor told me to eat shellfish I wouldn't do it.

    They may only share what has worked for them, but the average viewer is not aware of other alternatives or are simply looking for assistance from the most credible source "apparent to them", which is often any dude with above average physique, and these guys cater to the masses and fit the bill perfectly. Likeable, in fairly good shape, confident and seem to know what they talk about. What all this means is that any average person will take what they say to heart and will follow their advice and WILL defend them - as seen on youtube comments and even in this thread.

    If the hodge twins were getting paid to share their ideas on training and nutrition then I would understand why people are as upset as they are, however I think their advice is good enough for beginners to get started on building a decent physique(relative to the population, not relative to the misc where 8% bf is overweight and anyone under 230lbs and 6'4 is a manlet) and if the people watching their videos are really serious about working out will find more information on muscle building and realize that when done correctly with appropriate weights for their strength level that deadlifts and squats are fine.
    Outside a few select sources, any average person is 99.9% likely to stumble upon and draw their nutritional/training advice from people who barely know enough to get beyond mediocrity as a natty.

    So it's not like there's tons of good advice out there. There really isn't. Good Advice is hard to find while Bad Advice is in huge surplus. So IMO, we should do all we can to promote good advice and keep the bad stuff to a minimum. Saying it's just advice or opinions will only lead to confusion and the spreading of said "bad advice".

    It's like saying that sure, you can deadlift with crappy form when you're a beginner. You'll progress just fine and you'll learn more as you go.
    Except that for most people it's hard to change. And some develop serious ED-s or other psychological issues from bad nutritional advice that they will have a very hard time shaking off.

    Is retarded. I'll make a video about bowling a fairly nice score, but finish it up by saying - but you can do whatever the fuk you want when it comes to specifics.

    Except those people who are less advanced then me, will almost always take my advice. Even if I'd tell them to ignore it at the end. The advice has been given, the information recorded in their brains - understandings altered and perceptions distorted. They will now utilize my advice to try to get to my level. It's just human nature.

    If they are better than me, sure they'll ignore it if it's useless or crap. Except my "slightly above average score" video isn't for advanced people better at it than me. It's going to cater to ignorant viewers worse off than me. And they will want to improve.

    Plus squatting the weight is ON TOP of you... = more dangerous. Deadlifting with a proper warmup and proper form is almost impossible to injure yourself
