im thinking about competing eventually and i was interested to see if anyone else in here competes.

what are your experiences with competing?

when i did my first show i was turning 20 during my contest prep. wish i would have done an earlier show so i could have competed in the teen division instead of being in the mens open. it was a good experience though. this is my last week before i start dieting again for my next show in april.

Ive been looking into competing, here in canada mens open starts at 21, and everything under that is considered teen. So I have a few more years to add some size, might compete in the teen division next spring, I would be 18 and still have a few years left to compete as a teen.

I as well am looking into competing...OP I recently found a gym where there are a lot of reputable personal trainers as well as mr arizona is a personal trainer at and it offers bodybuilding help for ex they train me for competitions help me with my diet they have tanning beds there and they help teach me posing..it is pretty pricey but i am starting next week and think for an all in one type deal its pretty cool..im not sure if in your area if there is anything offered like this but you should try and research some places online

Yeah gyms like that are around, I found one up here that I trained at all summer that had a posing room and was only open to serious bodybuilders, It was a local underground gym not a commercial one, but it was like $60 a month.

No thats just to get into the gym, if you wanna pay for sessions it's like $120 per hour

yea thats what i think too but im scared what i think is a "good idea" the judges think is fricken stupid and also im not sure what song i would want to use

Make a list of songs and try them all out in a video and watch yourself. Or do your routine in front of people. Preferably not family unless you're sure they're going to be honest, but it's kind of hard to get randoms to watch you pose haha.
