My plan (once they heal) is to hang random objects from my nipples and walk around shirtless. Srs.

Shyt was unbearably painful man. When the first one was done I was seriously debating the second for 10 seconds. Actually...I rammed the 120lb dumbbell into my right nipple last night when doing rows. Not a single fuk was given. No nipples were harmed during the making of muscle.

Disappointed I didn't see this earlier. I realize the deadline for initial pics has passed, but if there are no objections, I'd like to just tag along unofficially for the remainder of this thread, particularly because the thought of entering another Fat Loss section contest makes me cringe.

After the last round of the NFTT ended, I thought I would switch from cutting to bulking. Unfortunately, I took up a "fuk my macros" mentality for a few days as a reward, and those few days somehow turned into three weeks. I naturally have a huge appetite and so there were a lot of days on which I was probably coming in 4000-5000 kcals above maintenance, possibly more. Saw the scale rising but naively blamed it mostly on water weight.

By the time I smartened up, my weight had jumped about 30 lbs (from 175 to 205). Now that my diet is on track again, I'm down to what seems to be a consistent 195 lbs; possibly a bit lower. Unfortunately, that means I probably gained around 20 lbs in three weeks with almost nothing to show for it in the gym. That also puts me about 10 lbs behind where I started in the NFTT.

I've decided that I really don't want to bulk until I've lowered my body fat to a point where I'm comfortable with my self image, because it causes me a lot of grief in day-to-day life. That said, it really does suck having such laughable lifts in the gym.

    Cliffs
Went crazy fulking after last round of NFTT.
    Gained ~20 lbs, mostly fat.
    Diet back on track.
Going to cut until sure of abs' existence.
    Weak as fuark; feelsbadman.jpg.
In on this as an unofficial tag-along.

lol. Perfect examples of how before and afters are done.
I can also distend my stomach a lot as I get leaner but not when I am heavier, kinda wierd.
I can also get a pretty deep vacuum.
I wonder if that's an instinctive response by the body too allow you to eat more. srs thought

I can rock the vaccuum pretty well too! It just looks weird because I still have this lower belly "pouch". Idk about the whole instinctive response to eat more because...I feel my diaphragm push up on my lungs and can barely breathe after a vacuum. Maybe it's a response to dodging bullets sideways?

Oh and LOL at that bloat pic...POST XMAS FAMILY DINNER BLOAT PIC LATER! Tune in ...and that'll be PRE-WORK XMAS EATS BUAHAHAHA!

not during the vacuum, i can only hold it for 30 seconds at most because of the need to breath. i was referring to the whole stomach becoming more stetchy as you become leaner.

Oh lol misread my bad. Idk man but I can definitely eat a lot more when leaner because of the appetite BUT my stomach is much smaller in size. I would love to expand it via food comps haha.

Hit 270 x 5 on squat today. That's higher than my max 8 weeks ago and I was over 10lbs heavier.

This cut is gonna kiss my ass in terms of strength loss.

^^^ good shyt manny! I'm in the same boat...no strength loss so far!

Was going to post another epic bloat pic but nothing different than what I've already posted. I forgot to weigh myself before/after but I have NEVER eaten as much as I have in the last 3 days in my entire life. I realized I have forever appetite instead of forever hungry.

Still no loss in strength for me. Yea Buddy

Pulled 335x5 and still had some left in the tank. This considering I had 6 tubes of blood drawn 2 hours prior. Come at me strength loss. Oh yea I forgot to mention I have been running PSMF since last monday. Eating ~1000kcals mon-sat and about 3500kcals on sunday. Maintainance is about 2800-3000kcals right now. I will continue this until my strength starts decreasing. Like mentioned in Jasons threads by Marc "your not losing too fast if your strength isn't decreasing"

I'd be careful with PMSF. The strength may plummet without much warning and you may not be able to recover it until you push into a surplus(or at least maintenance). I'm a fan of a more conservative approach.

    Noted.

It is either my genetics, possible hypothyroid problem corrected since I switched to keto ( I will know if I have this by next week) or my newbie gains but I am still making huge increases in strength and the fat is shedding off. I think huge deficits are no bueno for some people but I might just be lucky and have a higher ability to digest and process protein more efficiently than most folks, therefore making muscle loss difficult even on a huge deficit.

I think huge deficits are no bueno for some people but I might just be lucky and have a higher ability to digest and process protein more efficiently than most folks, therefore making muscle loss difficult even on a huge deficit.
I ran a really large deficit when I started cutting(regretted it later) and retained most of my strength, but there were certain other tolls that didn't become evident until later. But you're smart enough to know the possible effects and if things do happen then everything is a learning experience.

What are some of the things that occurred to you?

I am being extremely careful. The moment I notice a decrease or stagnation in strength I will abandon what I am doing. I might just run it for this week as I originally planned just to be safe. I just wanted to speed the fat loss up a bit. My legs have been largely under trained in the past (that is non-existent) therefore my newbie gains are still significant enough to where I believe these two weeks will have zero effects in the long term.

Namely a large hit to what I assume was my normal hormonal production. Overall mood issues, more irritable, worse sleep, mental fog, and lack of motivation(outside of lifting/school/work). I noticed a small difference at the time, but didn't realize how much it had changed me until I started actually feeling normal again. I ran a rather ridiculous deficit and was way too low on fat for a while, so a week shouldn't really be an issue.

Yea I have just made the choice to end it this week and go back to a smaller deficit next week. I do not want to risk it. Thanks for the insight. I am still going to be running keto as I feel great on it and it helps control my appetite which has been the limiting factor to getting shredded for me in the past.

My last cut was a more drastic approach, larger deficit on off days (1000ish) and maintenance or above on workout days.
No good. This time I've literally not even cycled macros, just eaten at 14-15 x current bw-5lbs on off days and ~15-16x current bw on workout days both depending on the activity level of the day. Not huge swings there either. I.e lowest eaten compared on an off day to highest eaten on a workout day would only be ~350-400cal...most of the time the swings between days are ~200cal though or 50g carbs.

Haven't been too strict on macros - lots of free meals/estimated meals. Everything is smooth sailing wrt weight loss, energy, and performance!

Big deficits = no go for me. I think large calorie swings are no good for me either.
